Hayden won the championship through being consistant.

Stoner won the championship through being superior.

Well done to Nikky for winning the championship in 06, but it will be looked upon as the one Rossi lost and Hayden won. I doubt very much if Hayden will go past 3 race wins in his career. I think we will see Hayden on a 2nd tier machine after 08.

Wayne, does Stoners "NO personality" remind you of anyone :?. A few names spring to my mind like Doohan,Lawson and Rainey to some extent. All legends and one of them totally dominant for years. It was Rossi who made all before him seem bland and yes he will be a legend and Stoner might just be another. Shwantz was also gifted a championship but did way more than Hayden throughout his career. When Hayden gets binned back to AMA will they retire the number 69 from the MGP grid? I think not.Lorenzo will bring his PERSONALITY, I just hope Yamaha bring a better bike. :)

Well whatever happens I hope Ducati is not stupid enough to hire Rossi in the future.
They do have a history of signing riders past their best (Checa / Gibernau) but hopefully this year will have proven the right thing is to hire young, talented and motivated riders with fire in their belly and something to prove.
If Rossi were to win on a Ducati, it would be down to his 'wonderful' riding skills. If he lost, then the bike / tyres are crap. No brand value there.
And Ducati customers are not the type to be attracted to the Rossi 'roadshow' games or image and would be appalled to be linked to the Rossiofi.

I really don't know what personality has to do with it.
I want to see good, exciting racing with technically advanced bikes.
The 'roadshow' element holds not the slightest interest as far as I'm concerned.

To all you Hayden bashers out there you have to admit that Nicky is better then 80% of the field if he gets a good bike and proper support. With the right machine he can challenge for podiums and run with the likes of Rossi, Milandri and Stoner just like at Phillip Isl this year. But this year like last year HRC has screwed him by giving him a mule of a bike and putting all their support behind Pedrosa.

The only reason Nicky is still with Honda is because the Repsol ride is probably the best ride in the paddock. Hayden is a former AMA and Motogp champ have some respect!!!

As for Ramirez, your a jackazz for disrespecting a MotoGP World Champion, your the looser!!!

Right on Ducman1098!!!

It's laughable how the (Hayden Hate Squad) will go out of there way to criticise him for bad results, In addition, make the most ridiculous and ignorant comments about his lack of skill.

Yet, when Melandri, Pedrosa, Rossi, and Co. have bad results this same hate group will be quick to defend the riders superior Skill level and blame the equipment. (Double Standard) The American VS. the Euro's (Club Members Only Please)

Rossi's record speaks for itself!
Melandri (5W's and no(World Title)
Pedrosa (3W's and no(World Title)
Hayden (3W's and 1 World Title)
125 and 250 Championships excluded Hayden wasn't there.

Can't wait to read idiotic replies.

Hayden has had a miserable season but has, as always worked his socks off. The bike has been fundamentally flawed from the start. It only got better for NIcky when they raised the swing arm pivot poit, gave it more power and it handled a bit more like the 990. He actually won the title last year on an EVO machine but this year was a desaster for Honda. In my opinion the class now suits the 250 style riders, only time will tell. I would like to see a ban on traction control next year as some riders rely on the electronics too much and its robbing us of the racing.

Aegis your an azz to call Nicky a tosser. That means that everyone short of Nicky, Rossi, Casey, & Kenny Jr are also a "tossers". Because only 4 current riders are either champs or former champs. The rest are wanna be's according to you. Your a disgrace to disrespect any MotoGP World Champion. Hes done the business won the title and deserves your respect.

Europeans will bash Hayden (the American) but make excuses for Valentino and blame his azz kicking on Michelin or Yamaha. Whats next, dog Casey because hes Australian or say its pure luck because hes on Bridgestones ?

As for your "land of the thick" comment, thats real funny coming from Eurotrash like u.

BEN SPIES 2009 WORLD CHAMP!!!
