To me Rossi rocks !!! What ever the world says or comments againt him does not change the fact that the king of Motogp will always be remembered as the most amazing & succesful rider of all times. I have never ever seen a rider so stylish looking on a bike as Rossi. Its true he is ageing & having a difficult time this year for a number of reasons, but never doubt his skills coz even if he starts at the back of the grid, all eyes are on him expecting something magical & exciting. To speak against him is like showing hatred towards the sport that we all love. I hope sincerly that his difficult times come to an end and he gets competitive again.

Rossi you are a Role model !!!

If you hate Rossi supporters Yeti, you hate the world.
They're everywhere.

The whole comparing with the fabulous Agostini or the great Mike Hailwood is a waste of time. Honour all :)

Not everyone is a Rossi fan.

I admire what he has done in the sport but I do not support or follow him and I know many people throughout the world who dont follow him either.

I for one will not jump on who is winning and follow them, as many seem to do.

I will always follow my countrymen first and foremost.

Its pretty pointless to try and compare riders if different generations. Its fairly obvious that Rossi is the best of the his generation. To be a champion across across the whole range of the traditional championship classes plainly marks him put to be above his peers. How can anyone refute that?

Have to wait one more year and give VR one more chance to prove was he so good or was it something "else"... else means something I think you know. Anyway competition is much much harder now... dudes, bikes (after 2-strokers), tyres, ... That means awesome bike racing year 2008.

Every era has an icon... Schwantz and Rainey (sp?) mid 80s - mid 90s, agostini mid 60s - mid 70s, Hailwood 50s - 60s... and now... Rossi! Bring on 2008 and Rossi adding an 800cc title to his cv! Going to be a very good year... prediction of 1- Rossi, 2 - Melandri, 3 - Stoner. :)

And with regard to glory supporting, I have supported Rossi since I first saw him riding... and wasn't very old at the time!

I really hope he hasn't cancelled because of all the stick he would get if he doesn't win the 2008 title ie. not focused etc. Can't see how taking part in the rally is going to have any impact on his prep for next year, providing he comes out of it injury free. He obviously enjoys his rally driving and theres no real pressure to win so it may help him unwind and come back stronger. A lot of non-rally fans including myself would have turned up just to see him, so I am a little dissappointed.

Tanio, just because someone posts something about Vale that you don't agree with, it doesn't neccessarliy mean that they hate the guy - it just means they have an opinion.

That tells what is the question now:
"But over the last few days Mr Furasawa said to me if it is possible to cancel the rally and I said yes," Rossi added. "It is a maximum effort (for 2008)."

It's harder than ever!

This proves how much it hurts for him to go 2 years without winning the title and how much work is required to get the Yamaha back on the pace
