It looks like an unrolled up piece of aluminium foil...
The old one sure was an ugly bitch, what do these designers think, let's rock the world?

the prettiest throphy this year must be that of Sepang (circular grandstand)
or Laguna Seca, the shape of the track with height differences as a cup :)

Thank god. The previous one was an embarrassment. Looks like they got some professionals to design it this time, instead of Ezpeleta's cousin.

Thank God they got rid of that awful mess that was two turds stuck on an orange with bits of crap engine fins on the bottom. It looked like a 4 year old had made it!

At least the new one looks *like* a motorsports trophy...

i agree it is way better than the last trophy. it's a checkered flag . as each square represents a winner from each year, the squares are dated. the 2097 motogp trophy will be around 8 feet tall. try carrying that of the podium.... :)

Great Trophy in the greatest sport on the planet.Just sad that tyres seem to be a big decider in who is # 1 .So Rossi goes the same as Stoner next year, and Lorenzo stays with the same crap tyres as Yamaha has had this year.Yamaha make it equal and maybe give both charges a chance.Or better still lets go to controlled tyres and then the playing field is all even and down to Tyres choice, man and machine.Just makes me sick to see a rider busting their butt to get to the front and then there tyres go off.Just like Australian Motogp when Rossi was on the charge and catching Stoner then they went off.Lets not be like F1 when it's hype and not much substance on race day.
