Well it just goes to show that all of you fools above wouldn't have the savvy to make it in a sport like Moto gp. You extend sympathy for a bloody TYRE COMPANY!!!! For gods sake. This is a business and tactical decision by Rossi and a smart one too. He can't afford to potter around on inferior rubber and the only smart thing to do is flex his influence and chance his circumstances, which he has done.
And to please all you romantics out there, Rossi gave michlin two years to get their act together....they didn't.....bye bye. I personally believe he should drop Yamaha next year if the bike is a dog.

win together lose together. then work together again to win. not throw your toys out of the pram cos u are not winning. Rossi yamaha will gain from all of ducatis and bridgestones work, would be fitting if a Repsol Honda Michelin won next years title.

I feel sorry for Michelin cos they have played a part in all of Rossi Moto GP titles and they have been made the scape goat.

I really hope Michelin come out of the box flying next year!

Hawkeye - if Dani wins it next year, it will be Rossi's last year in MotoGp.

Totally expected but disgraceful in my view.
As Brendan says, Michelin has been made the scapegoat after providing him with the very best tyres for years, which undoubtedly helped Rossi to the titles.
I hope Michelin gets it together big-time next year to really teach him a valuable lesson in loyalty.

Disgraceful is a perfect description PhilW. This is just another example of Rossi being all about Rossi with absolutely no consideration for the team aspect of the sport, or loyalty to anyone who might have made a contribution to his success. He very clearly demonstrated this unfortunate selfish personal trait when he left Honda, and here we go again. Rossi is about to make a complete and utter fool of himself.

I agree this is a stupid move only for Rossi's like. Either the whole team should have switch either none.

This will be a team with half M and half B... It will be a very strange Yamaha team. They will have to have separate pits for the 2 type of tyres.

And... starting with next year Rossi's main tyre tester (Edwards) is gone... so he will have an opinion less in tyre choice.

I really hope that Michelin brings some good quality rubber next year ...

Go Da******

The problem with team Fiat Yamaha is that they get their spare parts from a Suzuki! :p

Fair enough I say. Any rider out there want the best tools in the box. If I'm at work and I think something will speed me up or make life easier I'll ask for it.

Will the bridgestones be any good next year probably but i'm the French tyre manufacturer will respond.
