Well it just goes to show that all of you fools above wouldn't have the savvy to make it in a sport like Moto gp. You extend sympathy for a bloody TYRE COMPANY!!!! For gods sake. This is a business and tactical decision by Rossi and a smart one too. He can't afford to potter around on inferior rubber and the only smart thing to do is flex his influence and chance his circumstances, which he has done.
And to please all you romantics out there, Rossi gave michlin two years to get their act together....they didn't.....bye bye. I personally believe he should drop Yamaha next year if the bike is a dog.

Michelin have probably been the biggest factor in Vale's FIVE premier titles!

Here's how he repays them, a fair weather friend indeed :)

The comments above say it all: Disgracefull.
MotoGP and Rossi have damaged themselves permanently.
MotoGP has shown that it cares not for the sport but only the TV rights by forcing Bridgestone supply Rossi. This brings in to doubt Rossi's previous WC's as it is clear now that the governing body will do anything to make Rossi win. No other rider gets this support in fact it is now obvious that other riders are prevented from winning.
Even though I am a Stoner fan I have always support Rossi as well. No more.
What about Lorenzo's contract that says "Equal Machinery" Obviously contracts mean nothing in the pursuit of Rossi winning!
Bring on Rossi's retirement so we can go back to racing!

Man you talk crap! "No other rider gets this support in fact it is now obvious that other riders are prevented from winning"... Yeah, like Alex Barros got bolloked for overtaking Stoner. Mamola said today that after he beat Stoner, Alex was told not to overtake a factory bike again...

You guys are so full of rubbish

Randy Mamola was just repeating what Alex said in an interview to a spanish mag a couple of days ago!

Frankly Yamaha should drop HIM.
If Rossi wins (not often now) then coz he is great rider.
If he loses then Yamaha and Michelin crap.
With Bridgestones hard to make excuse on tyres so Yamaha get all blame next year.
This has no point for Yamaha. Not good for brand or image.
Yamaha pay Rossi big bucks just to get blame all the time.

I think its great how Dorna focused on a Rossi and Dani championship. But a 21 yr old Australian came along on a Ducati and blow them away. So Dorna have changed the rules to suit two people. One is Italian and the other is Spanish.
It has been a fantastic yr of racing and to see someone else winning the championship is great.
Can't wait for next yr.

i am a big fan of rossi since he came to the premier class in 2000 ... but changing to bridgestone i believe is probably not the best idea, especially from someone who are suppose to be a great rider ... maybe rossi has no more tricks in his bag ;) ...
anyway, having a team with different tyres is not really new ... the rothmans hondas of kanemoto and the rest of the hrc used to have different brand of tyres and even lubricants back in the 80s and 90s ... Doohan used to have different engine in his NSR500 back in 1997 ... even rainey used to have a different chassis back in 1993 ... but again this is "prototype racing" let the racer decide what they want :)

wow, there are some real grumpy people here.I love Moto gp and lets not forget,if it wasnt for characters like Sheene and Rossi, moto gp would be still black leathers and people with no personality,ie stoner and pedrosa, then it would not be a global sport that it is now. Every Moto gp rider has one career and they all try to get the best equipement that they can to win,so come on people lets just hope next year will be closer racing, whoever wins the title on whatever bike and tyres
