Well it just goes to show that all of you fools above wouldn't have the savvy to make it in a sport like Moto gp. You extend sympathy for a bloody TYRE COMPANY!!!! For gods sake. This is a business and tactical decision by Rossi and a smart one too. He can't afford to potter around on inferior rubber and the only smart thing to do is flex his influence and chance his circumstances, which he has done.
And to please all you romantics out there, Rossi gave michlin two years to get their act together....they didn't.....bye bye. I personally believe he should drop Yamaha next year if the bike is a dog.

Estimados Amigosde CRASH :

Simon, you are right. Why is it a problem if riders want to change bikes, tyres, teams? Disgreaceful? What a BS... Michelin didn't do it for free, they had their "return" just like Yamaha had theirs - 2 WC after 12 years. Would Hayden be disgraceful if he would leave Honda? He is just not brave enough althougt it is obvious Honda pushes Dani instead of him despite he was the last year's WC. So why should riders stick with one team/tire? They have one carrier but the bike/tire manufacturers were here and will be here for many years.
If a 5 (7) times world champion gets what he asks for I can't see anything wrong with it - especially if he delivers the results. Cont...

Cont... 3rd position is not that bad but many thinks that he needs to retire euse of it. Follow this "logic" Hayden was the World Champion last year and he is 8th on the same bike with Dani who finised on 2nd so Hayden needs to retire too?
I saw Rossi's first race win in 1996 and I think I will see some more next year.
I also hope that 2008 will be much more exciting than 2007 and Melandri will be able to show his real talent on the Ducati. But if he does Stoner will cry because - in my opinion - he is the closest to Rossi.

Anyone who saw what Tamada did in 2003 at Jerez on Bridgestones and again at Mugello could tell where they were headed. Now Rossi-Krishna has found religion. What will he ask for next, the bike the 'stones were under !??

Hi all! I'm really hoping the whole switch will workout for The Doctor. Everyone has bashed him for stating the problems he's been having and everyone is entitled to their opinion but, the man is a multi-world Champion and I am will take his word on what he needs. He's a racer and he needs the tools to win in this ever-changing sport. True, he won everything he's ever won on Michelin but, if he feels they've not been up to par lately, who are we to judge him for wanting to try something else? The bikes have evolved over the years and it's sooo much harder for Rossi to override a slower bike to victory so, he's trying to level up the field the best way he knows how and I wish him the best!

If Rossi wants the tyres, fine. However he shouldn't slag them off after winning 7 world titles with them. He's taking a big risk though. It will effectively be a one man team. He will not have the assistance of Lorenzo for testing tyres or the other Yamaha riders. The setting of the chassis will be different with Bridgestones and the chassis may also have to be developed differently to suit the tyres. Look at Nakano this year and team KR. Team KR are leaving Honda because they can't get a two engine supply. Sounds a bit like when he left Honda. Rossi ***********

Rossi's move to Michelin/Bridgestone sounds the same as his Honda/Yamaha switch in 2004, with a lot of critics (Rossi haters) out there.....but not me, perhaps Rossi needed another challenge perhaps? GO ROSSI!!!!!!!
