Yes Nicki Hayden is Faster. He can join Team Roberts and ride with Kenny Roberts jr and Kurtis roberts and keep them company at the back of the field. This just reflects that he won the 2006 championship by default. we all know :p

MOTOGP » Hayden: 2008 progress, 2007 faster

Nicky Hayden made 'decent progress' during his second day on the 2008 Honda RC212V - but was still half a second faster with the 2007 bike.

Is the 2008 Honda longer in the wheel base and has the front fork less castor than the 2007 model or is it only the photo angles????

Might be Saltbush, at least it is less ugly than the 2007 bike
and I'm happy to read they madesomething a bit bigger.
The exhaust under the tail sticks out in a funny way don't you think?

Well, they certainly need more stability under braking, and a longer wheelbase would help there, although perhaps at the expense of agility.
Nikki certainly looks more physically comfortable on the bike than before.

I wonder if Honda will run 2 different bikes in 2008 Dani seems to still be using the 2007 model and Niki is using the 2008 (longer wheelbase) model the longer wheel base will let Niki slide the bike and less head castor the slide will be easier to control, not sure about less head castor on the straights could be a tank slapper, is the longer wheel base just the rear swinging arm or is the chassis itself longer therefore engine placement different, very interesting,, Honda will have to look after Niki the USA Market is a big seller for Honda so they will want their Yank Star to go well, so there could Honda's to suit each rider which makes sense for 2008?????
