If he cant get on there he will struggle heaps for a while....still, Lording up the grid will be good value.

Gino what are you on??? "Maybe it could be seen in the same light at Hayden's 06 championship over Rossi, where plodding along and taking podiums was more important that racing for the win" JT WON MORE RACES than anyone else, he scored more points and won the WC??? What more did he need to do to make it fair? Lap everyone?

JT had 2 DNF's that were not of his fault (nearly 3 at Magny Cour) and still won.. "what if's" mean nothing Haga had the best bike this year without doubt and did not win again! JT's was the worst, good engine but really poor TC which any1 could see.

In the end it means nothing JT has done enough in SBK 2 have nothing left 2 prove, he has stepped up 2 GP now Big Up

JT certainly had the best bike in the field in 07. He was lucky that Max took Nori Haga out, or it would have been Haga's championship. Sure JT had more race wins, it would have been a little like JT first championship after Bayliss and Edwards moved onto MotoGP and Regis won more races than his team mate but managed to drop his bike a few more times, JT plodded along and ended up winning. Maybe it could be seen in the same light at Hayden's 06 championship over Rossi, where plodding along and taking podiums was more important that racing for the win.

I don't think the Ducati was at a particular disadvantage this year, it was just not at an advantage like other years. It was weak at some tracks and stronger at others. You can say the same for all the manufaturers.

Bayliss bike had no more of a disadvantage than any other bike on the grid all the manufacture had there own bad tracks .The bike on more than one occsion past top bikes down the straight(OZ been one of them)that bike was never slow .Ducati are going to cheat there **** off next year no other manufacture would ever be aloud to have an cc increase. Yes i know all about the restriction it will be restricted so it just wins easyer to do than trying to increase power when aii ready on the limit like sll other manufacture are. Bayliss can show his metal without riding a cheating bike think this change to the Ducati helped James make his decision to go to GP also think James will be top 10.

I'll say Bayliss is better/faster then JT. The 999 was too slow out of slow corners and too slow on the strait. TB could never do a pass on the straits!! Just look on his lap times in Qatar, when alone he could ride faster, but when he get passed every time they come to the main strait he must find a way through on every corner. That why the Yam/ Suz/Honda boys don't want TB on the 1098 as he will not be down on power as this year and last ye**** But, back to JT, regardless of how good Edwards was before, Edwards doesn't dare riding like that any more, his crash at Assen is actually very unlike him, thus to risk "so much". JT be faster at the races. JT will manage at least top 10 overall.

well, one rode a homologated 1000cc in-line four road based machine, the other a 250cc two stroke GP prototype. Toselands used to a degree of electronics, Dovi's had none on his bike before. I think thats where the difference of opinion comes from
