Yes your right zx9r steve.

I think Hopkins suits the Kawasaki image, fast but fickle. Could get a few wins next year. He is not the sponsers puppet many of the riders are. Who could forget the way he kicked the living daylights out of the Suzuki last year?

Kawasaki are absolutely huge as a company. The bike division is tiny by comparison, almost a hobby.

Buy the way, I love Kawasakis, always fast and fickle. They are the most "European" of the Japanese big four in my opionion.

There is no point, I'm just blabbering (as ever) :p
Kawasaki divides their energy over many segments,
it just depends how many 'recources' they want to make free for MotoGP.
Yamaha started off as pianomaker, that's not so heavy (though it may be convenient for Toseland) :p

Were Kawasaki ever at the top? With Anton Mang in 350's yes.
The KR500 with Kork Ballington had a best of 8th I believe and ran only for three seasons.
Mind you I always liked Lawson on the big Kawa fourstroke in the States ;)
Kawasaki Motorcysles has always a small but enthousiastic division of Kawasaki Heavy Industries,
sounds like a Shipyard, doesn't it?
