Sorry but that's nonsense MigsAngel,
How can you expect someone to race a bike that he hasn't properly tested?
You can also argue that Pedrosa is unwise to skip valuable laps on a bike he wants to become World Champion with next season.
But lucky for him Hayden does the dirty work again...

MOTOGP » Why Dani wasn't testing...

A noticeable absentee from the Sepang test was 2007 MotoGP World Championship runner-up Dani Pedrosa, with only team-mate Nicky Hayden representing Repsol Honda during the three-day outing.

He means he wanted to have some time off and stay in Spain
instead af flying halfway around the globe to a snake infested furnace
only to fly back to Spain for more testing...

Also, the very early winter tests are more for new riders, old riders no new bikes, and those that had a ***** season. Flying testing lap times are also meaningless for racing and bike development, and are only useful for riders needing confidence boosts.

Hmmmm... Have to agree with you there Morgue.
Looks very much like Hayden can do the hard work developing the bike and Pedro reaps the rewards.
Doesn't sound very fair to me.... Is he that confident that the honda doesn't need his input to improve??? :?

It is funny how its always Nicky how does the bulk of the tests, the Pedrosa gets all the developed bits :?

Is this a sponsorship thing where Repsol insist a Spaniard get the best bits? :?

each rider has to miss one test anyway so whats the problem. are you gonna say the same when dani does the testing at one track where nicky isn't.

doesn't matter if dani wasn't there, the best racer can always do better ... if nicky was really putting more times on it, the bike should always suit is riding style ..

I was under the impression that it is the team that has to miss one test not the riders...?? So if Dani wasnt here he wont be able to catch up with an extra one elsewhere.
