I'm truly disappointed in this sport because anyone with a little common sence can see it is going to the dogs this way.
They are making 800 four strokes act like 250 two strokes with traction control and slipper clutch,
launch control and anti wheelie settings. You don't really know who is the best rider anymore as you need to be an ICT expert to decypher the systems they're running.
You can't hail the king without hailing the programmer, high tech industry in his country and globalisation.

Thanks Matt, for the interesting thread,it just goes to prove how ineffcient the internal combustion motor is, you would think with all the brains in the world and all the computers that are/were available for the last 100+plus years that there would be a better form of producing power without such a waste of fuel, but then it still fascinates me to see an internal combustion motor in pieces and see what we can do with what we've got,,,,,,,,??????

Jduds and JJ, lets start discussing Electric Motors and Fuel Cells it is the off season so there will be very little else to discuss, first problem with electric motors is engine braking and the extension lead,,,,fuel cells first problem I know nothing about them so you can write what you want no arguements here. I will be going to Phillip Island for the pre-season tests which I enjoy more than the racing there and far more relaxing and very entertaining and funny. How about a compressed air motor???
