zxr9 Mate look at facts if casey had not been in the running who would have won? Danni/ rossi a lot of you are saying that bridgestone will rule the world? Not to sure about that, i know Danni would disagree with you. If Ducati had not got Casey on board dont think they would have won? where was cap, some riders just gel with their bikes. Edwards was no where for Yam and Nicky was not great on the Honda

MOTOGP » Suzuki couldn't wait for 2008.

There's still over one month of 2007 remaining, but development of the new 2008 Suzuki is already well advanced.

Now there's a good development process, start early and run the bike alongside the old one.
This is what Ducati did too at the start of their 800cc project and it pays off.
Yamaha is on time too with the new chassis tested by Rossi some time ago (but need an engine that does the trick).
I think we will see this as a trend, have a good test rider (like Jacque at Kawasaki) and start early.

Morgue, looks like Suzuki and Kawasaki are finally getting there while Honda and Yamaha are having engine challenges. Hopefully they can both get it sorted for next year and we'll see some really titanic races.

calvin,
regarding your comment about good racing, one word TYRES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
until that is sorted then the bridgestone guys will be the only ones there at the end.

I think Michelin are making progress. I know Pedrosa's Valencia performance may have been a one off, but it is a good sign.

Tyres are not every thing Ducati most likely would have won this season what ever tyres they had(except Dunlop). Even Events they were not supposed to do well as tight and twisty they won. I am not saying they did not have an advantage but people must agree last year Stoner and the bike worked well together. ( I am not a Stoner fan so i am not say that because i am)

I am hoping this is resolved but like Calvin has said if a few of the teams did sort there bikes out only a little bit next year looks like one of the best chapionships.

It is ofcourse a combination of bike and tyres, speculating on how Ducati would have fared on Michelins is interesting
but just that, speculation.
It will be very interesing to see the difference between the Bridgestone shod Yamaha and the ones on Michelins,
even then comparing will be hard as Rossi, Lorenzo, Edwards and Toseland are all different riders.

Regardless of tyres not much will change at yam... ie- Rossi will have at least 0.5 a sec in race pace over the others, and it will be down to whether the bike has the capabilities to win.

Next year is shaping up very well, even in these early stages....... The 'Zuki & kwaker look much improved should be much closer to the duke...... can Yam & the big H improve enough too????? They certainly need to pull their fingers out

It's very difficult to compare bikes and riders even when they're on the same make of rubber. Styles and the way each individual rider actually ride the bikes can make a whole load of difference in the type of tyre you are likely to need. And of course each individual curcuit. Will be a very interesting year, that's for sure. Especillay if Rossi does go to Bridgestone as he will have to develop the tyre on his own with no feedback from other Yamaha riders.

no tyres would win without the bike, and no bikes would win without the rider ... stoner did great, he deserved it ... now isn't it a good news to hear about the improvement in the suzuki ... can't wait to see them back challanging for the win every single round ... if anyone of capirossi/vermulean won next year surely krusty the clown would ask for a yamaha with suzuki engine ...
