zxr9 Mate look at facts if casey had not been in the running who would have won? Danni/ rossi a lot of you are saying that bridgestone will rule the world? Not to sure about that, i know Danni would disagree with you. If Ducati had not got Casey on board dont think they would have won? where was cap, some riders just gel with their bikes. Edwards was no where for Yam and Nicky was not great on the Honda

MOTOGP » Suzuki couldn't wait for 2008.

There's still over one month of 2007 remaining, but development of the new 2008 Suzuki is already well advanced.

Denning doesn't do much for Suzuki improvement. It's Hopkins and the factory test rider Kousuke Akiyoshi has turn Suzuki into highly competitive 800cc MotoGP racer. Now it's Capirossi turn to direct which level the machine should go.

Vermuelen still not ready to lead the development and has very little experience on it. left alone lack of lower GP class development, it will look more polish to let him lead the direction. Even though how smart they use words to back him up, to ignore Capirossi development experiences, will make them break and waste a very good racing machine.

Still to see how they develop for 2008. Hopefully not turning into a bunch of rats that trying to fix a cheese..

Paul Denning is a ****** and even his team know it, the whole team speak badly about him when his back is turned! They need to put Kevin Schwantz in that position ;)

Full credit to Paul Denning for his part in turning around the fortune of Suzuki from perannial no hopers, to credible challengers. He must be the best team manager in Motogp. If I was CEO of Honda or Yamaha then he would be my first signing, just give him the budget and don't interfere. Look what happened to the Rizla Suzuki team in BSB after he left.

Actually I think Yamaha are not doing bad at the moment, they were early with the rollout of the new chassis,
Edwards tested the 2008 proto with the new engine in Sepang while Toseland and Lorenzo were on the 07 bike,
and Colin did 2min 1.811, faster than Pedrosas pole and way faster than the 2 min 3.040 he could manage in octobre.
They will continue with it at Jerez where we can have a look at the Bridgestone - Michelin difference on the same bike.
I don't expect Rossi to be blasting right away as a tyre change is a big step, but we will see.
Yamaha just need to chip away at the issues they have and keep working.

Sorry parker your right we should be talking about suzuki, would love to see them at the top next year. Think Cap was a good choice for suzuki, can help with getting the most out of the bike. Bring on 2008 am off to Barcelona for the GP

I agree Chu,

The Rossi to Bridgestone move is very important in this respect, it may be so that if they improve reliability on the M1 engine
in combination with the Bridgestones he will have the weapon he needs. It's all about traction.

tyres made a huge difference this year. huge.

nicky (not an excuse guy) on tyres
"Yeah. The tires were such a big part of this season. I'm almost tired of talking about it, because if I was a fan at home, you sound like a whiner. You sound like, "Quit making excuses." But tires, now, in our sport—or any sport, especially on pavement—just make such a huge difference. It's can really make or break you. I think it's almost every bit as important as the bike. Really I do. Places this year, when the Michelin tires just did not work—Laguna being one of them. It don't matter what the team or rider did, he didn't have a chance." enough said

I know this topic's supposed to be about Suzuki, but thinking about krusty asking for a 'zuki engine for his FIAT brought a smile to my face. :)
