Westy this year deserved his ride. He didnt lick any butt he rode well when it counted. Lets be honest now. Westy derserved it more then Chaz Davies did. To Mike hailwood. Serioursly man grow up. Westy's done a god job and I bet next year he puts it on the box in a race or 2. Also Mike trust me you wouldnt want to say that to westys face. Alot of ppl dont know but westy is one hell of a boxer. I guess you get good when your dad was the Australian boxing heavy weight champion and he taught westy everything he knows...!!!! Thats the truth aswell.

As the article said, just give Westy time to adjust the bike to his set up and get some time on track and let the performance next year speak for itself.

West did a great job coming off a 600 to a full blown Gp bike :) too palce 7 in his short stint of racing on a bike not sorted for his style was admirable. I cheer him on because I think he has the ability too set the bike up for his way of riding, which makes a big difference in confidence. If anyone that rides a bike knows it takes a minute before you are comfortable let alone at this level. I believe he will be a force to reckon with next year. ;)

I don't care if his father was a boxer, if he is into ballet, flower arranging or origami
it has nothing to do with racing. He has to deliver just like everybody else.
Anthony did a good job so far in a handfull of races but he has to stay on the bike and avoid starting penalties
or he will lose the brittle credit Kawasaki give him.

Westy was a good 250 racer, never up to the top though, except on the wet.
He has been incredibly successful in his three SS600 races, (2nd, win, win) which tends to show WSS is not that tough.
He was instantly good on the MGP, thanks to his now wide experience, and he was consistent as well.
However, I doubt he has what is required to really succeed in MGP. I guess he is an average second rider, always there to score valuable points, like many others have been throughout their career, Niall Mackenzie for instance. I do respect that, and such riders are really assets for a team, so if he does not screw up, he may well stay there quite a while...

Oh ! and on the wet he will be one of the top contenders, probably against Stoner and DePuniet like in 250 (Donington remember ?)

Westy has made an OK start to his motogp and shows promise. Kawasaki will expect a lot more of him in his second season. If Hopper has a good season and Westy can stay within shooting distance in terms of race positions and championship points then he will get another contract.

Don't care if he his Oz's best boxer - I'll have him at any weight :) :)

Dear Demon - thanks for the comment,i havent laughed like that in a long time,so thanx.
It was the comment about his dad being a boxer and if i met him he'd " beat me up",lol.
Just like being at primary school. You must be Australian, lol
You have to admit West has landed on his feet wih the Kawasaki, when there are hundreds of better riders than him.Even I could still beat him.I used to race 250cc,350cc and 500cc in one day and win all the races.Stick that up your ****,im sure you'd enjoy it Demon, lol
