We will see if Rossis decision to jump ship to bridgestone pays off.

I don't see for any reason why Rossi needs to show any company any loyalty, im sure Michelin have enjoyed their dominance for the last few years with Mr Rossi & of course Hayden in 06, he owes them bugger all!

The guys at Bridgestone have reportedly said they can not wait to start working with Valentino.

For all the doubters out there I beleive you will all be a little quieter this time next year when Rossi takes back the 08 championship & then leaves Yamaha for Ducati.

Let's see what happens at the latest test, for all of you that thinks Rossi is shagged just because he's on his own is badly mistaken.

It was a prototype 2008, not the 2008...

Just don't expect too much. Whatever they dish out will be bogged down by the perennial lack of top speed /horse power. They seem to take pride in making slow bikes.

Well, Colin did makes some fast laps on that "slow bike" in Sepang.
I am sure that they will catch up with the other guys..

Things don't seem tooooo positive at Yamaha, with all the down beat comments by the only rider to win on a Yammy you would think that they would have started developing the 2008 bike after the first race in 2007,they shouldn't expect just because they pay mega dollars to the rider that he could win on a well oiled push bike.

The evidence here suggests that Yamaha is working hard - they are coming up with ideas and giving the riders options as to the direction the development should go.
I don't think that Yamaha will just sit back like they perhaps have done in the past - like everyone else, they have probably come to the realisation that Rossi can't win anymore unless he has a machinery / tyre advantage.

Look at the wealth of equipment and testriders they took to Sepang (not such a long swim from Japan I guess)
I think they are on to something ;)
There's a new engine running and various chassis options, it will come together in january.
They have a good tester in Colin, he may not be the best come raceday but he knows the bike.

Don't know how much the testing being done by Colin on Michelins will help Rossi who will be on Bridgestones. Any riders know?

Not much Calvin. I dont think it was a smart move by Rossi to be the only Yam on Bridgestones. I very much doubt Michelin will be in a similar position next year as they were this year. They will be much more competitive. And Rossi will not have the wealth of test data the other Yam riders will have to work from.

What I think this means is that thi sbike is the c**p one that all the yamaha teams will get, and Rossi's special one is still being built.

But of course they are all the same according to Rossi's PR people!?!?!

I still think that Yamaha are doing themselves a dis-service by concentrating so much on one rider. From their point of view, it would surely be better to see lots of Yams at the front rather than just one.
