Interesting. He is fit enough to compete in a WRC car, but not fit enough to be spending his time testing and trying improve the Yamaha that he has whinged about all season???
Priorities seem all wrong here. Glad I'm not paying his salary.

..cont.

You saw Edwards riding around on an unpainted 'T' bike and a 'P' bike in Sepang as well as on his own '07 bike,
he is comparing chassis (and maybe engine) options and makes a choice. They choose a frame for the whole season and test three various swingarms (stiff-medium-soft) to go with it. Designing a new frame takes them months... so imagine what it means if they find out they got it wrong during a racing season (like '06). Vibration in a construction is often difficult to detect, it can come from wrong material choice, incorrect thickness, too long distances spanned that send things 'oscillating' at certain wavelenghts (engine revs or wheel revs) etc.

I think it's indicative of the attention span/actual interest in the facts on here, that people are asking why he can do Rally but not test.

Does no-one remember that his Michelin contract stopped him testing until November?

I think it's quite obvious which "opinions" you can ignore & which can be taken seriously. This is why people who are just having a go at Rossi at so transparent.

Morgue, you are waffling with all this chassis stuff you obviously don't have a clue with your vast generalisations.

I would venture to guess that Valentino knows more about racing and testing than anyone here on this forum. If he thinks it would be o.k. to sit one out, for whatever reason, and indulge one of his other passions: rally cars, it's probably o.k.
I myself am taking a couple of days off of work and going hiking in the mountains. Any objections?

Ok for once I'm gonna let off steam.

This is targeted at the person who thinks that Rossi fans will jump ship this year.

Proper fans don't go & support the current in form guy, so I think you will find that us Rossi fans will still be supporting our man this year next year & the next 5 years if he chooses to remain in the sport.

I have supported him ever since I started watching Motogp which was when Valentino was in 125. The guy is a well respected legend in this sport & he's earned the right, it will take more than the half whits on here that basicaly post **** to convince anyone he's nothing but a genious on a bike.

Rossi's first outing on the new Bridgestone tyres I beleive is very encouraging, only 0.3 off stoner today, surely there is loads to come from him yet on those tyres, & not only that the bike is last years bike, if Yamaha bring a decent improvement for 08 there is no reason why he wont be a force to be reckoned with in 08.

As for Twista-throttle-man comments, yes it's possible that last years frame maybe was a little too rigid, I don't confess to be a real technical minded guy on this front, as an engineer by trade I can understand certain things though.

What I knew for certain was thought that the bridgestone tyres as you rightly pointed out will give him much more grip.
