Rossi finnished the test early because he was losing strength in his hand. His time was on race tyres. Everyone else was on qualifiers.

Interesting to look at the tyres.
Five of the top six times on Michelin.
Five of the bottom six times on Bridgestone.
Maybe Rossi jumping ship wasn't his best decision!

Hi Toon, yeah it is interesting but there are a couple of factors to be taken into consideration with those times. The Michelin Qualifiers are generally regarded as being superior to the Bridgestone ones and both Stoner and Rossi didn't run (one at all) on qualifiers on the 3rd day. Had they both been there and run on "quallies" then I dare say you'd have 2 more Bridgestone bikes up the sharp end.

Also, 3 of the bikes on Bridgestones at the bottom end were "test riders"

I have to say I'm impressed with Lorenzo and Dovi, good times from them! :)

exactly, no stoner, melandri still gettin used to the package, no suzuki and rossi not running a qualy tyre.

funny how he was 2nd fastest the day before and no one was mentioning the switch to be a bad idea.

still any chance to knock a decision that rossi makes, most people will jump at the chance.

roll on the IRTA test's and a 100% rossi, then we'll see what a bad idea it was huh?

anyone know the times suzuki have been setting at phillip island?

Rossi and stoner would have been up there if they weren't injured.
Besides that Honda used the 2007 bike (like Yamaha)
makes the whole picture different, doesn't it?
They all got work to do.

Very proud of JT, I think he can put in a very respectable performance next year. It's such early days though, anything can happen next year - The yamaha teams don't even have their '08 bikes yet, the '07 Hondas are still faster than the '08's and now there are injurys... Still its nice to have something to read about. I'm going to die of boredom by March!! :?
