2007 was a snorefest, I don't care if you cut and paste all the 'action' together into a compact television programme,
it still doesn't make it exciting. It was hours of hanging about and nosepicking and seeing a sport go to the dogs.
If you get off on consistency that's your right, I want to see racing. We are being led to believe that watching midgets on
electronically controlled downsized racers is the same as watching battles of heroes of a bygone era, like Schwantz and Rainey.

Gibernau rode 500's allright, the V2 Honda and he replaced Mick Doohan in the Repsol Honda team in 1999,2000
and after that he rode the 500 Suzuki too.
The crash at Barcelona xracked Loris ribs and damaged a lung. Until then he was leading the championship in what could have been Ducatis first championship. The crash destroyed the whole season for them. Loris chose to ride the next races in great pain instead of resting, he didn't want to lose too much ground in the championship.
He still had a fantastic year finishing 3rd, only 18 points behind Rossi and 23 behind Hayden.

Maybe, there are some really funny people around here...
The accident was a very unfortunate get together of Gibernau's brakehandle (right hand) with Loris Capirossis machine,
cousing Gibernaus front wheel to block and flipping the bike into a 360 degree spin.
Like a domino effect Loris was banged into Melandri the same way, also blocking his front wheel but he slid, taking Melandri out as well as Pedrosa and a Kawasaki rider (Nakano or De Puniet). Dramatic stuff

I think Sete went off his line and banged into Loris, it scared the **** out of me, I thought we were going to witness the first fatality since Kato's passing at Suzuka... These kind of accidents really show the importance of having a good starting position for the race and not to lose too much ground before reaching the first corner (and why they use launch control),
you don't want to get caught in something like that
the Ducati you mentioned was certainly a 749, nice bike

M M, the posting on the F1 part of the forum is getting a little out of control, with people using other peoples names to give the opposite comment. MM is someone trying to be funny and pretending to be Max Mosley. It's a little bit saner here.
