Stoner with the #1 plate is questionable. Yes he deserves it for the truly incredible season that he had and should use it for the testing sessions, but having it for the 2008 season will make him look foolish as he will NOT win the championship, just ask Hayden.

Roberts' current troubles are a classic example of this problem, and it is only going to get worse until the media reporting becomes more responsible and balanced. Who wants to sponsor a back-marker who will never be seen on TV? So we may be down to 18 riders this year. Next year? This is not good.

It was only a few seasons ago that Kawasaki were wobbling about at the back getting lapped at every race experiencing the problems that Team KR now have. So maybe TKR can turn it around too if they get a good engine for next season. Besides, anyone who gets caned and rolls Max Biaggis smart car onto it's roof is OK by me :) Would have loved to see Biaggis face - priceless!!!

I can remember when your number was the position you finished last season and the new guys got what was left, what's so wrong with that?

It made some people fight harder as well, no one wanted a big number!!

Remember, Team KR finished 6th in the World in 06, then 07 saw rule changes that went completly against them. Not too much they could do with the engine they had.

True Speedy,

I think especially the lack of support from Honda did them in, however I don't know about Kurtis either...
does Kenny Sr. have any grandchildren?
