It needs to be done , the sport needs to return to the skill of the rider and not the skills of the electronics department to master the machine . Maybe a standard ecu is not the answer , but a ban on all electronic rider aids would be (traction control , anti-wheely ect ).Mr Ezpeleta is right to say this , otherwise we are going to end up with a show like F1 or no show in there case . Yamaha don't have any pride, they finally dropped their 5 valves per cylinder ie, 20 valve head the other year, but not before they'd sold the technology on to a few other manufacturers. Although no one else has been using anything other than 4 valves per cylinder for years now in racing!
Aren't the HRC Repsol bikes running pneumatic valves for this season? but not the customer bikes!
Yamaha tried pneumatic valves last year, but it exposed vulnerabilities in the bottom end of their engine, they better get that sorted first!
I suspect we'll be seeing all pneumatic valve engines by 2009, except the Desmo's!

Zydon, I see your point too. Most of those circuit has fast dropping level and stop-n-go types. I noticed that this kind of circuit were not favor to Rossi.
