If those of you that beleive Bridgestone will simply not give Rossi the best they have you must be joking.

Someone mentioned that Stoner was not that impressed with rossi on his first test on the bridgestones & he's on his own.

I would point this out to you.

No1, Stoner is hardly likely to admitt he's worried about Rossi switching to bridgestone, I bet he's chocked because of it I know i would be.

No2, Bridgestone are a proffesional outfit, fully used to motor racing & they know exactly what they have taken on with Rossi, I bet they are laughing what a coo, & they will be working as hard with Valentino as Casey.

If the Yamaha engineers have done their job were gonna be in for 1 cont..

I am looking forward to seeing the Team Fiat Yamaha garage at the opening race. I suppose we shall have the ridiculous spectacle of a huge curtain separating the Rossi side from Lorenzo side of the garage. I guess Michelin will share info across all Yamaha riders whilst Rossi is out on his own. He will only have himself to blame if his Bridgestone gamble fails. I have a suspicion that Michelin will come back strong.

You're right Jacko,
but then again praise will be his if he succeeds ;-)
He takes a gamble, the stakes are high, I admire him for that.
He apparently feels that on different tyres he can make up some of the flaws of his 'package',
Stoner stated that he wasn't to worried or impressed by Rossi on Bridgestones in Jerez,
my impression is that he did a good job for a first acquaintance. His hand was still painfull, he used last years compounds and bike. We'll see how Sepang goes when he get's the new stuff :p

I'm sure Rossi knows what he has let himself in for and I don't see Bridgestone giving up their advantage easily either. Don't forget Michelin have now lost one of their best development riders.

The Pons Honda team had Biaggi on Michelins and Tamada on Bridgestones for a season and it seemed to work ok. I think the only problem Rossi will have will be a lack of data. Roll this week.

I'm sure your right SLOW JOE, getting Michelin info won't be his problem, but getting info on other Bridgestone riders may be much harder and that's the info he needs. He may be on Bridgestones but he is outside the Bridgestone family. Remember Bridgestone did not want Rossi at all. He was forced on them by Dorna. I have a feeling that Stoner is Bridgestones golden boy and he will get preferential treatment. Could it be that Stoner knows this and that is why he was so dismissive about Rossi on Bridgestones?

It stands to reason that Bridgestone or Michelin will throw all they have at their best chance of a world champioship. It has always been this way. At the moment Stoner is the golden boy. If he fails to finish a few races and the championship begins to look weak then Bridgestone will look elsewhere. At the moment it looks unlikely but who knows.

You may be right Jacko, the Bridgestones were not developed for the M1 and in that respect Yamaha will be last in line.
The emphasis of development will surely lie on providing Stoner/Ducati with their best stuff as they were the ones that gave them their first World Championship as a tyre brand and they are gratefull for that (and rightly so).
Rossi is therefore not in a position to 'demand' anything, however if they are all working constructively and in a professional way he will get the stuff that will at least give him the chance to show everybody what he's made off.
