Why will Rossi be unhappy , he's gathering data on new tyres , doing long runs and in the mix time wise , the thing with him is his race pace will be great , but he's got to learn what the Bridgestones are like after 8 years on Michelins in the main class and now is the time to do that , it is what pre-season testing is for surely.
You lot do make me laugh , the Rossi lovers and the Rossi haters , funny as **** the lot of you.
Roll on some great racing this season and may the best man win.( Whether that is Casey,Vale,Nicky,Hopper etc etc... )

Duke @ ee, Did I assume something? :?
I believe I just posted some times a little bit ahead of crash.

You don't have to excuse yourself like an oestrich, clown fan like me!!Don't lower yourself to that level, please ;) ;) ;)

I agree though, glad you are also a little more conservative in your assumptions. Lets see how Jerez and Qatar go. Only then the real season starts... :)

It will be a nice season!

Harryx.....Caseys QR was used early in the morning before it was warm and I believed he said that if it was in the afternoon he could have gone under the 2 min mark......dont get me wrong , this is good to see from Rossi it now makes the start of the season something to really look forward to as there is nothing better than exciting racing.

I just realized Yamaha has arranged their teams nicely with 2 WSBK and 2 GP supporting class champions each. Tech 3 had more pressure to achieve the success to follow Doohan path. While Rossi and Lorenzo to defend the GP supporting class success that Criville, KRJr, Rossi and Stoner has build in modern MotoGP era.

Since the last AMA sbk champion has fulfilled his destiny in 2006 with Hayden, 2008 would a big tasks for WSBK champions to prove themselves that they could win the world title.

ps - Still to see how much threats Lorenzo to the title contenders in his rookie year. If he really good, like to see him in Movistar color for 2009... :)

I dont think Vale would stand for colin or any Yamaha beating him, I think he would demand team orders from Yamaha or threaten to leave at the end of the year.
I dont beleive The Texas Colin Tornado of the Edwards II is out of his shadow yet...or until I see Colin whip him a few times, and what of the chances of that?

Edwards is Yamaha satellite team lead rider now. He is no longer bound as a team mate that do all the dirty works to backing up Rossi. So, he can say whatever he like and to challenge the factory team or other riders with more freedom.

Basically, he can start to play his own mind game too. Tech 3 was a good team and Edwards just need do a little better than his Honda years and get consistent. With his old team mate around, that would bring his confident back.

And he need to do it fast before the other 3 Ducatis found the secret of the soft tires and no longer shy on gas.

Very true Laterrus,
Mind you I mostly take Colin's comments with a grain of salt,
they have a high entertainment value though ;-)

DucHunter, I agree with you in the fact that Colin has praised Rossi's performance on the M1 in the past and I HAVE read those comments but, "Lately" it just seems as if he's a little more critical of Rossi and his switch to Bridgestone. Part of me thinks, that's only because he's not on the same team as Rossi anymore and can speak more. The bad thing about criticizing someone when it comes to racing is, alot of people, not all, won't take you as serious if the person you're criticizing is performing better than you. Right now as far as "testing times" are concerned, Edwards is ahead of Rossi. Testing is very different from racing. The REAL results come out during races. Just my opinion.
