Why will Rossi be unhappy , he's gathering data on new tyres , doing long runs and in the mix time wise , the thing with him is his race pace will be great , but he's got to learn what the Bridgestones are like after 8 years on Michelins in the main class and now is the time to do that , it is what pre-season testing is for surely.
You lot do make me laugh , the Rossi lovers and the Rossi haters , funny as **** the lot of you.
Roll on some great racing this season and may the best man win.( Whether that is Casey,Vale,Nicky,Hopper etc etc... )

And I don't think we should be playing down his times...as long as he's not going in reverse, at this point, all that matters is that he keeps going faster

Reckon all would have had Qualifier in at some point , hows it that Edwards always go fast in pre season testing. Thats impressive by Lorenzo been said that Dovy is a much better rider just Lorenzo had better bike well not looking that way to me.One more thing COME ON JAMES TOSELAND

Well done Nicky, fabulous lap!!
Also well done Casey, not fit but put an impressive lap 0f 2.00.964 on racy tyres and his best lap on qual. If I where his competitor I would become very nervous...

JT well up and in front of some big players. Come on! What has happened to West. Terrible last race, bad test last year, same this year so far and Hopkins so far ahead and only his 2nd time on the bike. If this carries on I think he will be on his way before the season is finished. Melandri also. That Ducati does seem a tricky bike to master. I for one thought Melandri would give Stoner something to think about but much as I hate to admit it, Stoner does seem to be the only one who can ride that thing.

I begin to understand now that despite Ducati has advances on top speed and electronics, the only things that made that bike going faster, rider need to improve their throttle control.

So to speak if Bayliss and/or Xaus return to MotoGP and ride this bike, they'll be a lots faster than Melandri, Elias or Guintoli.

Like Melandri comment the bike need special riding style, it's true and I may add it's all at the rider's wrist.

The conclusion is Ducati GP8 need to be abused by it's rider to get the beast out of it's cage... :)

Well I'm glad to see Nicky up there after all the hard work.
Great to see Hopper the top bridgestone rider, and it appears that was a race tire too.

I echo Morgues opening comments; great test, many positives for many riders especially Lorenzo. Please don't hurl abuse at me but the only rider that won't be happy going home from this test is Valentino Rossi. The guy just goes from bad to worse and to be soundly out-ridden by your rookie team mate is more than humiliating.

Jacko, Its a test and thats what they're doing. Do you know if they're tryinh their hardest to put in a quick lap or are they trying settings, tyres and the like. I really wouldn't read too much from any test times to be honest as it means absolutely jack. How do you know that Rossi won't be too happy, were you there in his garage to plan his strategy for the test? No...Look at Edwards last year. fast in testing and went backwards quicker than an Italian Tank. It means mothing...
