I think it is not just the bike with Casey. As the collective keep saying "where are the other Ducatis". The Ducati is fast, no question but it does seem that Casey is the only one to be able to squeeze that bit extra out of it. I think both Casey and Ducati were both very lucky to have found this marriage made in heaven. Casey needs this package to exploite his abilities and Ducati needs Casey to exploite their bike.

MOTOGP » Stoner: It couldn't have been better!

Casey Stoner's debut on the Ducati Desmosedici GP8 may have ended with an injured shoulder last November at Jerez, but the MotoGP world champion was all smiles after a formidable return to action at Sepang this week.

This guy is gonna keep improving for the next couple of years and smoke everyone. Get used to hearing our national anthem cos its gonna get played a lot. He his now the benchmark that all other riders must measure themselves against... :) :) :)

Pedrosa!!! Casey knows it. They ve been racing each other for ages now - You ll never hear Dani bitch about CS or viceversa.
It s only testing though - Remember last year Casey had a consistent silent testing preseason and then set the series on fire. We need to wait and see how Yamaha will react to last year s fiasco. They surely cant get worse, and the still came 3rd last year with 4 wins. Honda will be there, i dont think Dani s injury will be that bad ...
To me Kawasaki and Suzuki will be ocassional podium contenders, nothing more nothing less.
And Marco better get his *** up or he ll be out the door mid season , like Loris in 07

And just been named Young Australian Of The Ye****

Yamaha must be happy with their overall results but knowing that Stoner has been recovering from shoulder surgery and not close to fitness but still able to lap so well will have them (and the other teams) concerned. Long way to go yet, looking forward to seeing the times from PI next week. Home circuit for the Ozzies, Hayden is always quick as is Rossi so should be good. Knocked back an opportunity to be there for the test, rueing that decision big time now!!!

Really surprised by Marco's results so far. Thought he would be off the pace initially but not outside the top 10.

Disappointed in West :?, happy to see Hopper up there :).

Not surprised about Randy. Probably the only guy with a pretty much fully developed read '07) model and not playing around with lots of new stuff.

Caseys Mom: we're already used to the anthem of Oz being played over the last few years with Sir Bayliss on his big red bike!

Seriously though, Pedrosa's the man this year for Casey to beat. Vale will be there as per usual, but George Lawrence is going to be snapping at his heels. I think that could put the clown off while the young guns fight it out with Hopper, Capirex, De Puniet and Vermeulen getting in the mix for the odd victory.

It's shaping up to be better than last season's F1 procession (at times.)

I agree chu chu, but Dani´s Honda is not perfect yet, Casey´s bike is already a progress of a winning one, Casey´s confident is skyhigh (now he is WC) and he is great under all circumstances... I put my money on Casey..

Caseys mom, Casey is a great rider but its his BIKE that is the bench-mark not Casey.
Stoner, Rossi, Pedrosa and gang are all secial riders, but its going to be so close this year. Therefore any bike advantage in any area will drag a guy to the front, lets see!

Yep Stevie! Thats why Loris, Marco and all are right up there with him - NOT! Only one logical explanation when you analyse it objectively and that's the rider factor. See from your name your a Kwacker man - like Kwaks a lot, hope they get their sh1t together this season, time for a new order. :)
