I think it is not just the bike with Casey. As the collective keep saying "where are the other Ducatis". The Ducati is fast, no question but it does seem that Casey is the only one to be able to squeeze that bit extra out of it. I think both Casey and Ducati were both very lucky to have found this marriage made in heaven. Casey needs this package to exploite his abilities and Ducati needs Casey to exploite their bike.

MOTOGP » Stoner: It couldn't have been better!

Casey Stoner's debut on the Ducati Desmosedici GP8 may have ended with an injured shoulder last November at Jerez, but the MotoGP world champion was all smiles after a formidable return to action at Sepang this week.

Well said jh, I refer to Loris Capirossi who said that Casey's riding style is totaly different than the others in aproaching and accelerate out of a corner (or bend whatever you prefer), this suits the character of the Duc very well and makes them a very good combination. Preziosi (chief engineer Ducati) has already stated that Casey is riding the Ducati as he wanted a rider to do, so there you go, a winning combination!!

barros got a podium in Mugello last year on the priv Ducati - Then Domenicali decided they werent giving them any software ir suspension adavantages. Hofmann did his best results on the Duke too. Sure Casey is getting that extra bit off it, (even those few extra bits!)but that bike is a monster. We all know what Loris what thinking of last year. Not exactly the races!

By that you mean - Capirex jnr. Get real - he's not the first bike racer or sportsman involved in some kind of dangerous sport that's had a sprog during their career. These are professionals with a very cushy lifestyles, who are paid a heap of money to give 100% to their employers and the FANS who pay hard earned dosh to watch them. If he was giving anything less than 100% then IMO he got exactly what he deserved.

WOW, its going to take a rider not yet in motogp to stop Casey...Mans a killer.

Pedrosa will learn how to race big bikes following Casey.

Yo Chu, Casey was quite last test season (Sepang to PI) becuase they discovered they had a huge speed over the rest and kept it low key, they didnt give away their hand.

Mybe thats why you think that but it wasnt like that at all.

Looks like the Ducati is a hardcore riders bike compared to the easy as Honda, all of a sudden marko is thinking maybe he made a mistake....

Roaai was runne rup furst time out in the 500cc class (which i rate much bigher than moto gp 4strokes) , and only cos he crashed a a coule times early in thge season and on the wet - then the following year he had no competition.

when he made the switch to yamaha he made that bike a winner, one that had previously been a dog.

I said he is a legend not a god, wininng 7 world titles in it's own rigght will see you go down a legend of the sport. His 2 titles with yamha which no one could do anything with was an example in itself that he can adapt with any bike and with the title. Honda being the best bike over those years as well failed to do anything due to the fact they were lacking Rossi's talents to bring it home for them, the bike one 3 championships while Rossi was riding with them but couldn't win when when he left cause THEY NEEDED HIM TO DO SO. The two years Rossi didn't win he had many issues with their overall package and still managed to finish 2nd and 3rd in the championship.
