I never suggested that, ever.

the others wont like being passed by a noob and will pass him right back. They wont think "Oh just let him go" They will dominate him until they cant catch him....unless it rains. There is a pecking order gromm, he must establish himself first...

The only place Colin Edwards could realistically challenge Rossi was at Laguna Seca

If Edwards was under team orders and he had the riding ability to do so, wouldn't he be finishing right behind rossi? May be he did on occasions, but i think he generally ended up several paces behind Rossi.

interesting one this. I can't make my mind about him. He only won in 250 after Pedrosa and Stoner left the class, but was then dominant. Seems fast on the Yam though.

If it rains, better look at Vermeulen and West.

Not seen a great deal of Jorge so I am no expert, but judging on what I have seen then he looks very quick when he's leading and has clear track, but when he's in a group and fighting for position he seams to lack a bit of backbone. There's a lot of fast guys in MotoGP and not many take prisoners so he's gonna have to toughen up if he wants to win races.

Very true Royston,
Even a streetfighter like West was impressed by the ferocity of the battles in the back of the field when he entered the class last year, these guys fight until the last meters...
