The problem with the M1 is it blows up when they stress the engine to compete with Honda/Ducati top speed.

To the haters calling Rossi 'monkey boy', why? Because he's fun, friendly and one of the best riders ever? Ask yoursef why Rossi as so many fans world wide. Because he's a 'monkey boy' and 'full of excuses'?

He's only lost MotoGP championship twice in the last 2 years? Once because his bike failed multiple times + Elias knocked him off, and Once because the competition had a dominant machine?

Silly boys.

There you go. The typical "Rossi"-excuse is used by the CS-clan. Irrelevant.

Just admit that TC is used to make an "unrideable" bike rideable on the limit AND that it is ONLY a performance tool for "difficult" bikes with as a sideeffect(!) the exact same reason; The bike would be unrideable HENCE unsafe.

Be objective about it... ;)

The only reason TC is even being discussed at all is because its one of the last lame excuses left for the ostrich groupies. The sad irony for them is that rossi uses it too!!!!! Yet????? stick head back in the sand and all will be fine, think happy, 7 titles, think happy dah :?

Its a sport for human beings that run a bike at +300 km/h centimeters from each other in hard rain on a wet surface. They run carbon brakes that can throw you off in a moment. Only capable riders should be able to express themselves.

These bikes used to have 80 hp then 100, 120 then 150, 180, 200 then 220 and finally 240. Now they reduced 990 to 800 cc to create a normally unuseable screamer power Ducati with 2-stroke power. I agree a 220 Hp bike as the Ducati cannot be controlled with throttle control only on the limit safely. It probably would feel like a 2-stroke 500 cc. The electronic throttle, fuel and spark control allows them to make it rideable.

Is that the idea?? I wonder. :?

Your comment is irrelevant, even if it doesn't sound like it...

TC in MotoGP is NOT there to make it safer. That a side effect e.g. excuse. It's a pure performance tool for rookies. You ride a bike OVER the razor's edge with a closed loop control system covering you. It just is there to win the championship. If it would make you slower it would be abandoned.

That is not safe. Safe would be to add a 20 mm restrictor on these bikes and an ABS.

ABS is for safety. Where is it in racing? TC is safe? where is it on roadbikes?

Other than the latest BMW or the old Pan-Euro Honda there is no TC for safety reasons.
Only the 1098 R has an 8-stage PERFORMANCE -related TC NOT for safety.

Lets put it another way:

I have been around and racing bikes since 1970 and I have seen less and less riders dying because of these new inovations, I have also seen the bikes going faster and faster.......some years there is a dominant rider and some it is close racing.
But the main point is these inovations are saving lives and I think most would agree that is more important.......so if we get rid of all the advancements and bring back the old days isnt that like bring back the death penalty, coz I am sure the riders are not going to slow down ????

Let's put it this way:

TC *****. clear enough?

The next thing we'll have is a "braking point assist system" with "ABS and "anti-Stoppie control" that will take over, so you don't run into to guy in front OR off the track.

Probably linked to the already installed "GPS", evaluating the position of the other riders on track, so the info-screen can provide real time suggestions on where to pass.

In the end we'll get a piece of meat on the bike that just gets payed to sit on it while the bike does everything by itself. Exciting !!

Now, I'm 100 % sure that that would please all of the TC-lovers. alias the infamous "video-generation". Who wants that job? Pays well!!
