Arrogant little ****. :-o Methinks he listens to Uncle Alberto too much... who has been a MotoGP World Champion? And who hasn''t, even with a tailor-made 800cc series?

I agree with him, Hayden is not a great development rider, face it.
Not very tactical to bring it out like this (or was it pulled out?) though
and it is to be seem if Dani can lead development himself... we will see

Dear Crashnet.
Dani came second!!
Casey was the 2007 Motogp world champion!!!

Thanks Johnny. It should have read "2007 World Championship runner-up" not just "2007 World Championship". It's now been edited, expected the change to be visible soon – Crash.net.

This wasn't pulled out. I read this a couple of days ago on the Motogp site. He volunteered this information. Pedrosa is a good rider there is no doubting that. But just let me get this straight: Pedrosa tried to put the brakes on, fell of, broke hand, blew bike up and questions Nicki Hayden. I think a lot of what these European guys say is for their local press. Doesn't make what he said right or justified.

the reason Nicky hasn't been good at developing this bike is because it was made for Diddy Dani and NOT the former world champion.
I hope now Dani is sidelined,Honda will finally concentrate their efforts on Nicky, which they should have done last season.

Nicky Hayden is a fast and courageous rider, but I doubt he is great at setting up and developing a bike. Actually he was world champion because Rossi had a nightmare season, not because Hayden was any faster.

And remember that, should Edwards have won at Assen, Rossi would have been world champ... OK I know with 'ifs' and'shoulds' you never end rewriting championships again and again, but still, it shows that Hayden has been really lucky to end up champ, in spite of Pedrosa's own efforts to prevent him from doing so.

BUT Nicky Hayden is highly respectable because he keeps his mouth shut whatever happens, and he refrains from punching Dani's face, which is more difficult than riding a RCV

The truth is that Danni Hobbit crashed not Kentucky - if he can't stay on the bike then he isn't much use in the development process is he? Maybe if he grew some backbone he would have stayed around in Sepang instead of wimping home with a poorly hand! ;)

I think the title, "doubts hayden", is kind of provoking, don't you think? I didn't see pedrosa saying anything about doubting hayden...

Moemoe_ZR, we feel that Pedrosa's words indicate that he "doubts" Hayden's ability to develop the new bike – Crash.net.

Pedrosa is playing mind games, stupid ones for sure, but that's because it's Puig's ideas, and Puig is plain stupid.

Apart from Spanish ppl, everybody in the world hates Pedrosa anyway.

I'm not a big Hayden fan, but at least I respect him a lot, both as a rider and as a man.

Pedrosa is certainly a great rider, but he has used his reduced weight a lot in the lower categories, and now trying to play Alonso-like mindgames... Ridiculous

He would have better take some braking lessons...

Dani might think it, but he should never have said it in public.

This was a press conference he, or repsol, presumably orgainised. It's not like he said it in the heat of the moment after just stepping off the bike with adrenalin still surging.

Dumb move.
