Why do the factories spend millions of dollars on R&D when they could employ Ace, the man with the solution to every technical problem. The other day he was telling Suzuki how to improve the handling of Vermuelens bike and now he's pointing Kawasaki in the right direction. Hey what do these Japanese engineers know - they've only been building race bikes 50 years so they haven't yet built up the same level of technical expertise and experience as Ace. Time to step into the motogp paddock Ace and claim your rightfull position as the new technical guru...Jerry Burgess watch out!! ;)

I am an Australian, and I have followed CV from his early days in Australia and have followed him O/S. I am also a Huge TB fans, again from his days of racing Superbikes here in Australia. I have followed Casey Stoner, but not to the same degee of CV & TB. I will always support my countrymen, but Ant West is one I struggle with. Ant moaned for years about not getting a factory bike, and one he got a chance with KTM, we screwed it up. From what I understand even his father was involved.

I wish Ant the best of luck, you have your chance on a factory bike, ride the thing like we know you can, but quit the poor me, whinge fest.

Mark S ... U hit the nail on the head with just a few words there ... "Ant moaned". Everytime they interview him he sounds like he's about to slit his wrists, or summing went wrong, or someone has it in for him.

Kawasaki seem to hav a knack of signing good wet riders tho ... unless the Kawa is just really good in the rain or some reason?

I cant see West lasting the season, but who is available to replace him?

Westy aint the problem, its that frigging bike, the power is the most peeky in the field, the seat hight is so high they look like there sitting on the tank, That motor is in the wrong position forcing the rear end higher to compensate for a bad chassis that wheel stands if you look at it, ergo bad turn in.
Its SOOOO obvious looking at the bike and with what they complain about, what they ask for. Westy is better suited to the Honda (like everyone that ever rode) and the Yamaha.
If Kawasaki put 4 bikes on the grid tommorrow, all 4 would suuffer the same, for gods sake lower the seat hight Kawasaki.

West took advantage of the best opportunity in the world and apparently he didn't realize the level at which these athletes compete. He claims that he does better during races, which history has proven true. But lets not forget that last year was the first year for the 800's. With lap records being shattered this early in the PRE-SEASON, Westy could be left in the dust.

You are right Eurotrash. Same as if I were given the chance I'd whip Rossi and Stoner on a production bike. I could whip them all! I could do so much if only I didn't spend so long sat on my fat *** giving an expert opinion that trashes everyone elses opinion, cos I am an expert see? I watch it on the television whilst slurping bear and farting so I know who's best... If only they'd give me the chance!
