Ted, why ban the Ducati? It abides by the same rules as every other bike on the grid (unlike WSB ,which is a shambles) Why not say, Oi, get your fingers out of your *** to the other manufacturers and catch Ducati up! Don't shoot the people that have done it right, it;s the other manufacturers that have got it wrong. Or do the "big" manufacturers not get it wrong? Well, 2007 is proof that they do.

MOTOGP » Bridgestone seeks qualifying pace

Despite the amazing Phillip Island pace of Ducati star Casey Stoner, Bridgestone admits that its qualifying tyres are generally 'still behind' those of Michelin, which put four riders inside the top five on the final day of Australian pre-season action.

Why can''t the tire makers put a 4mm white line on the side wall of a qualifying tire so the spectators know when a rider is using a qualifying tire surely put in the correct place the line would not effect the tires performance?????

Tip: less than 2 laps is a qualifing tyre.

No offence, but adding "Ecclestone (TM) features" is the last thing we need in bike racing. That would really the beginning of the end...

Harryx yep you know after 2 laps not before if Ecclestone/ F1 has a good idea should it be banned just because they use it, after all F1 tires are black should MotoGp change the colour of the tire????? Note Ducati is the same colour as Ferrari ban Ducati problem solved.

So far it is going to be very difficult for people to say Bridgestone is the better tyre and I am sure Caseys performance must have them shaking there heads as to why no one else is showing the same pace. In a way it is a shame Rossi was not at the PI test as it would have been interesting to see how he would have gone.

Stoner's tyres are obviously flown in overnight, we're back to the Rossi-esque tyre domination of the past. A select few will have the best tyres and all the podiums, the rest will simply circulate as back markers. Have to agree with GP Plus, ban the Ducati, they're clearly collaborating with Ferarri, how else could they have dominated with a shoe string budget and such a small team? Check the engine, it's probably a cut down version of the Ferarri, if allowed to continue racing, have the Ducati reduced to a twin.

Ted, I agree on your conspiracy that they worked togheter with Ferari so what??
Doesn't Yamaha made some of the engines for toyota or do you think that in the HRC will be a separate box for the motogp?? They simply have to speed up their developments or buy the shares of Ducati...

I think I read enough for peoples playing Rossi trying to change the tire rules by using Dorna's politics. Lets get back talk about racing.

Bridgestone now at the point in the need to develop a competitive Q tire. Probably, this is an excuse for Rossi make himself useful in B'stone development. Otherwise, he may need to start the race from the back of Michelin top riders.

Talk about Qualification, here a great video of Doohan(Michelin) pushin hard to beat Simon Crafar(Dunlop) time and at the same time break the QP lap records by Schwantz.
