Nicky Hayden:

"This engine spec is the spec Dani chose to go with for the valve-spring. It's smooth and easy to ride, but its overall performance isn't real high."

-----------

So Pedrosa chose the engine - yet now he can't test it due to injury - leaving Hayden to develop a bike with an engine not suited to him.

How about they let Nicky Hayden use the engine HE WANTS.

MOTOGP » Honda's engine dilemma continues…

"Before I would have said 'yeah sure, we'll race the pneumatic-valve', but now maybe we're going to be on valve-springs" - Nicky Hayden.

hondas has proven over the years that they dont make a lot of mistakes however, they realised quickly when rossi left that the rider makes the difference on a bike, i hope for their sake that the company policy does not override rider input and they get caught in the confusion between factory/rider/springs/chassis

by the way it does seem rossi is as quiet as possible on the media front... quietly confident maybe...

Not one person has mentioned a very important factor on testing times.

Tyres,
the reason Rossi decided to go with Bridgestone & split with michelin.

I beleive he made absolutely the correct decision to go with bridgestone because he is now starting to catch upto stoner.

I feel sorry for Nicky because he's not got a chance, he's on a bike with crap tyres 7 with a team who has **** on him just like they did rossi.

We all know that Honda Love Dani & see him as their next possible World chanp, i personaly don't think so not in Motogp.

Nicky needs to bail out of that Honda garage & go where he will get the respect he deserves just like Rossi did with Yamaha & **** honda.

i don't really know what you want from Honda. every team has their favorite rider.
in Honda's case its Dani. the problem is that Dani is not a supporting teammate he talks dirty about Nicky and doesn't do any thing himself.
he wants Honda to give him the perfect bike by the first race.
Nicky is their working horse!!! all teams have test riders only HRC don't...
Nicky is developing the bike to suit both riders and not just him.
hope Nicky will replace westy next year and team green will be an all American team...

This is a great snow job, of course the motors air or spring are no good during the day as the first race is at night (heavier air) so Honda are readying the motor for the night race and will just disappear in the distance and Honda management will have backed their riders on Centre Bet at good odds and will recoup their developement spending with one bet, there are some very cagey people at Hinda ;) ;) ;)

Nicky is not considered no1 by Honda but still gets a lot of attention from them. New parts akll the time, a new engine configuration .. Last year s engine seemed quite fast on the straight inn China ... All in all, HRC is a pretty safe bet. These last 2 years , Honda has underperformed yet still Suzuki , Yamaha and kawa are behind. Michelin will fix their problems. Nicky and Dani will be up there soon im sure.

Maybe Honda is sandbagging?

So many of us here are in agreement with what is going on and wrong at HRC, I wonder what HRCs sees? Obviously, most of us are not experts........surely HRC have the might to turn things around, but they continue down this path of mis-management. Didn't some bigshot from there get sacked last year? Isn't about time to clean house?

It shows how difficult this sport is, producing a new and faster bike each year...
you have to have everything 100% right to be competitive
and even then there are no guarantees.

RR75,
I personaly don't respect Honda any more.

When Rossi won 2 world titles & he only narrowly missed out on the NSR500 in his first year & they say it's the bike not the rider that won the championship.

Rossi did the right thing and said up yours honda & went to Yamaha & we all know the rest it's in the history books.

Enough said honda are *****ing on it's riders.

I agree Nigel. I have been a Honda man all my life, but for the first time in my life, I have been looking at the other factories for my next motorcycle purchase. It almost seems that Honda's success has dimished their hunger for innovation....ie F1. Just my opinion.
