if moto gp does leave donnington it should seriously consider brands, if it went to silverstone it would be completely s h i t e

If Laguna seca's safe enough for Motogp then so is Brands Hatch, If it moves anywhere it should go there, When will these people learn bikes don't work around silverstone, I can't remember a decent bike race around there in recent years, WSB was miles better at Donington in my opinion. This is probably a greed thing, Silverstone can pack more spectators in and has that multi million pound BRDC building for the Dorna mob to get drunk in while the rest of the fans are stuck outside with a **** view of the racing or what passes for racing at Silverstone, I doubt Donington could survive without the GP. This is bad as premier league games abroad as far as i'm concerned.

Could it be a trick to put pressure on the owners of Donington to renovate the place?

Having raced at both, nothing compares to Donington and I don't think any rider who's been round both tracks would disagree.

I've also spectated at both and found it difficult to get a good view of the track other than the complex at Silverstone. As for Donny, well its great watching from the banking above Craner through to Swart and up to Mcleans.

The noise is phenomenal too as the bikes sit in the amphitheatre. Does Brands add anything better for the spectator, I'm not sure?

Keep it where is is and order better weather!

Count me out if it moves to Silverstone. Donington is more central. Never fancied traveling to Brands.

Forgot to mention I live 15 minutes away....

Silverstone are looking for a headline race to replace F1 which they expect to lose. Leave things as they are or move it to Brands if needs be - but no to Silverstone.

One more thing, Silverstone ditched the British GP in the 1980s after the attendance started dropping off and it was Donington who picked up the pieces, Silverstone is no friend to Motorcycles and they never will be, They only want the GP now guys like Toseland and Bradley Smith have sparked abit of interest among British fans, They want to milk the fans for every penny, Watch them ram up those ticket prices to Formula one levels.

I went to the last 500 GP at Silverstone in 1986 and it pi**ed it down all day and as most posters have said the views there were cr*p. Donninton is great for bikes but the melbourne loop that was added to bring it up to GP length really lets it down. If the paddock isnt big enough, then instead of the foggy esses, the track should go left at the end of the back straight and out into the carparking area, do some twiddliy bits and then rejoin the circuit at goddards. this would free up all the lower section of the loop for the extended paddock and hopefully keep the flowing nature of the track together.

The reason why WSBK is c**p at Silverstone is because thet use that stupid "International" circuit. I used to go to the old GP's at Silverstone and you always got good racing (except when it was wet - and when it was wet it was very wet!!), especially the 80cc (yes I said 80cc in the days of more than 3 classes) 125cc, 250cc and 350cc races. Due to straights and no stupid "Goddard Loop". Donington races are almost always strung out.

Now they have messed up Woodcote not sure if that would still be the same.

As for not seeing anything, go and stand on the bit between Stowe and Club corners. You can see down the Hanger straight (tops of head only though) out of Stowe, all the way to Abbey
