you know, Dani Pedrosa is always **** talking on Nicky Hayden and just about blaming everyone but himself when he doesnt go fast enough. It isnt good for the series if respol honda are really off the pace, especially for Nicky Hayden who you never really hear complain and just keeps his head down. I''d love to see Nicky outpace Dani for the entire year and have the last laugh. I hope he can figure out the Hnda and not Dani.

MOTOGP » Repsol Honda receives 2007 bikes!

Repsol Honda could make a complete U-turn and start the 2008 MotoGP season, at Qatar on Sunday night, using exactly the same RC212Vs that it finished last season with.

I seem to remember something about Stoner not being able to join the Yamaha factory team when he first moved up to the premier class because Rossi did not want Stoner as a teammate. Now that Stoner is WC, do you think that Stoner might have something influential to say about whether multiple-times loser Rossi would be _allowed_ to come to Stoner's championship Ducati team, especially after Rossi turned Ducati down due to money in the past?

This relationship between bridges and fire is a b1tch, ain't it guys? :-o

Honda put all of their marbles on Danny, who is nowhere near the development rider Hayden is, nor does he have Hayden's work ethic. To make matters worse, remember that Rossi left Honda because Rossi felt that Honda's attitude was that it is all about the bike, and the rider is immaterial. So if the engineers think they know more than the rider, and they will not pay attention to the one rider who could help them, they deserve this expensive lesson.

But I am hitting them even harder. I will not buy a Honda anymore in order to punish them for being stupid. Think they will listen to me? ;)

I have some sympathy for Honda in terms of the penumatic engine - as it is new technolgy (though suzuki and Kawasaki never had any problems building a pneumatic engine, even if Yamaha took a little more time) - but for me the fact that they are now thinking that the '08 chassis is not is good as the '07 chassis is amazing.

Is anything on the new bike better than last years???

I've said it before but for me the bombshell was that the guys that developed the 07 rcv didn't design the '08 (reported on crash last nov). For me that says it all and is why i'm not surprised. The 07 was a good bike by the end of last year.

No sympathy for Honda and their pneumatic disaster. It is not new technology for them. They have been using it in F1 for years. But in F1 too they seem to have lost the right direction.

Interesting thread....Maybe a little of track but the prime reason we watch MotoGP (or WSB or BSB or whatever) is because it's exciting. Last year, due to the extraordinary success of CS/Ducati/Bridgestone, the spectacle was not there...it was not exciting.
When we look back, even when VR was decimating the competition it was still somehow exciting and that's the difference surely? For the first time ever, I turned a round of MotoGP off after 12 laps last year.
You can make all the predictions about CS leaving Ducati (which he will do)and VR joining Ducati (which he won't do)but it doesn't matter a jot if the racing is boring. Pray we are not in for another Doohanesque period!!

The problem with Rossi at Ducati is not Stoner . it s some personal beef between Suppo and Rossi.
