The top three finishers at the season-opening Qatar Grand Prix, on March 9, formed what has now been officially confirmed as the youngest ever podium in the 60-year history of premier-class grand prix racing.

Its over.....Well said, these guys are going around with their arms just about touching the track, they where coming on to Gardner straight and out of turn 11 smoking it , CS was backing it into corners at Sepang and they were 26 sec faster around Qatar and to top it all of not so many highsides......and it will get better ;)

No it doesn't... Records are there to be broken. Riders start riding younger all the time, they are being developed from a younger age. Training for young riders is getting more sophisticated as the factory teams pick them at a young age and throw thousands of pounds at their development.

Just look at Scott Redding, youngest ever rider to be on the first row at just 15 years of age. 125's haven't changed much over the years. If he progresses quickly he could go on to break other age records in 250's and MotoGP's
