Rossi has said in the past, one of the reasons he didn't go to Ducati was because of the massive amount of PR work he'd have to do for them. That is mirrored in this month's "Bike" magazine by Stoner, who has said that he doesn't feel he's changed much since becoming WC apart from the non-stop media stuff he has to do when he's not racing.

Rossi loves Yamaha, he's said it many times as well as stating his desire to stay with Yamaha until he retires.. His threats that he would leave if they didn't sort the bike out was a kick-up-the-**** warning... and look what's happened! Lorenzo, Edwards and Toseland are all reaping the benefits of that threat.

I don't think Rossi will leave Yamaha.

If rossi wants to win the title again his best bet would be back at Honda... I can easily imagine it potentially unfolding too if neither HRC nor rossi look like winning the title again in 08. And rossi does not retire....... Horhay is going to be one of three at least make rossi look seriously average again this year so options may point to this scenerio unfolding around mid/late season the way things are looking at present at least

and correct the problem and place the engineers in the ballpark of a given solution. Unlike many Rossi has Jeremy B who can translate that information to the builders and make it happen, that is why Rossi went into his pocket to make sure that JB came with him which is the other part of the equation that other riders seem to lack. Interpretation is crucial in this sport etc..Well I hope you guys understand what I am trying to say and some of you may agree and or disagree but that is why this is a forum a kaleidescope of opinion ;)

My opinion, Rossi has made many strides with Yamaha and they now see the difference of input from the rider than all the technicians they used to use. They now have physical evidence that the rider's input is the most valuable asset. which in retrospect, that most teams are now looking at riders who can develop a bike within relative time frames not years of simulation etc..RD...This I believe is the value that Rossi brings to the table which in this sport accounts for millions of dollars, valuable time saved. So now we have deep pockets opening up for those such riders. West is a great rifer and needs more time in the class to learn the necessaries to quickly addresss certain aspects and

Bob Hope or no hope??? that's the question! Capirossi could be in Kawasaki this year but he had chosen Suzuki for one year and I don't think that he'll retire from motogp, that would be nonsense! I think that Kawasaki is getting stronger than Suzuki, they both need just a 'kick in the as*' to get progres, to show their best form.
Also Bartholemy's sentence 'I want Rossi' means 'I want you, Hopper and West, to make progres this season' If screamer engine'll bring the same to Kwakis as pneumatic engine to Yamaha than it's promising. Also factory needs to work to develop best monster they could. Then Rossi can watch their hands. Vale needs wins more than huge amount of money.

Bartholemy has two hopes of signing Rossi and one of those is Bob, the other is No.

Agree wih the comment that West will be out. We need to clear a bit more of the dead wood next year to make room for Bautista and Ben Spies. Spies is most likely to go to Suzuki to replace Capirossi who is on a one year deal. Maybe Capirossi to Kawasaki. Nakano surely must get dropped from MotoGP - he's been living off past glories rather than earning his keep for a long time.

who will be in Kawasaki 2009? Hopkins and if they've signed just for 1 year...Dovi, Melandri, Hayden, Bautista (if Aspar wants join to motogp than they'll secure him for Yamaha or Suzuki) even Nakano or Gabor Talmacsi:D and maybe Rossi. They need a magic amount of money and persuasion to have him. For what we know Rossi is that all his choices were made by his and Burges feelings.

i think rossi would't go to kawasaki, most possible is (if this year lost again) make a team like year 2000 with nastro azzuro, and ducati will give manufacturer bike (if casey lost this year).
kawasaki better hire biaggi for next year :)
