What's the point in having 600cc fours since we have 800s? They are very close and, admittedly the 800s are not "homologated, cheap engines" made by a single manufacturer, it still defeats the point.

The only reason I can think about is that by going to 600 they leave room for "fourstroking" also the 125 class with something like 350-400 twins.

500cc four stroke could be ok. 600cc is too much.
125cc - 250~300cc 4stroke 1~2 cylinder
250cc - 500cc 4stroke 4cyl
800cc

Thehy seem to forget the arrtaction of a low cc bike race is to have a ligh weight class where the rider needs to carry as much corner spped as they can... and bigísh bang motor would be too heavy and clumbersome... I really think they should elave it alone... as to 2 stroke being expensive??? there are about80% less movinb parts in 2 stroker... please... gimme a break.

The last few yrs racing in the 125's and 250's has been well
worth watching, so why change it?

Ok the bikes are coming to the end of upgrades and improvement
but if your getting good close, unpredictable racing, i'd leave
it as it is!

125cc - 250 4 stroke
..... Expensive slow & clumsy compared to 125cc 2 stroke single= dull racing
250cc - 600cc 4 stroke (screw wss these should be prototypes, whats the problem?)
.... 600cc prototypes would be as expensive as 800/990 bikes, why would a manufacturer or team bother when it could be in the main game?

Look at it from an environmental perspective. 2 strokes are much 'dirtier' than their 4 stroke successors, due to the 4 stroke having a more efficient burn.

As for engine sizes? I don't know..haven't really thought much about it. I think that the 800cc limit is a joke, though. Bring back the 990's and let that be the end of it. If that could be done, then make the mid-class 600's or even 750's (give'em a reason to exist) and the smallest class 450 singles...

But then again...that's just conjecture on my part...

Why is it always the behest of 1 ******* Japanese manufacturer thinking that they own motorcycle racing, that ****s it up for everyone else.

125 and 250 GP racing should remain 2 stroke light weight 'relatively' simple design and implimentation. So what if the development is slowing. All that achieves is that machine performance between the brands and teams is narrowing and the largest differentiator becomes the riders' ability.

Just where do the same Japanese manufacturer (s) think they are going to get their future riders from..."clunkerboat racing"
