Take dohans and rossi's trophies out of the display cabinet and
honda have very little to be proud about.
HRC suggested to rossi that it was not his riding skills but the
bike he was sitting on,then quickly waved goodbye to the best rider
in the world and also the best tech jerry b.
the kentuckian was lucky 2 years ago, should have been caparossi's
on the duck and craville beat a bunch of punch drunk riders after dohan beat them senselessfor 5 years
this year the skinny talented danny is making the bike look half decent.
The new engine is way behind in its development, just like the f1 team.

Mr Pedrosa is so lightweight, he's still the fastest with 'old fashioned' technology.

Wise choice for HRC not to risk a blow up.

I am not in the slightest bit surprised that they are not using it. It is too risky for them to do so(especialy for Pedrosa). Having said that they could have given it to Hayden, it's not like he will play an important part in the championship. But as some have already pointed out, Honda probably don't want to be embarrassed in case the engine just blows up in their face, so they are playing it safe.......

Whether it blows up under Tady okada or Nicky Hayden its still a Honda blow up. You mean Honda didn't test it out in Japan. Can understand Dani Pedrosa not taking risk but Nicky Hayden is a woosh. He's got nothing to loose anymore. He rode that "Indian" in indianapolis .Not like he might getlucky again like in 2006. Just bring it to the start line on sunday and have a go for crying out loud. Hey if Tady Okada gets a few more wild Cards he might even beat Nicky Hayden in the Championship standing with the pneumatic Honda. Honda should change their advertisement caption from " I wanna Ride" to "I Don't Wannaa ride That"

someone said that with pedrosa on the pneumatic could potentially have gone 335 km/h, 5 km/h faster than melandri.

335km/h it's only speculation... we will see.

But... I also think Hayden could have run the new engine. He really has nothing to loose.

Ah,how things change in the world of racing! The once proud and mighty HRC now seeming so unsure of its superior technological prowess. Was'nt it a Honda engineer last fall that said"the RCV with this engine will conquer the world".All I saw last week was an army of HRC staff jumping for joy that Okada just finished the race! The myth of honda reliability ended long ago.You can't explain huge fireballs and engine parts strewn on racetracks as simple "electrical falures".Nickeys season is over.Give him the bike on the weekend,so that he may have a chance to save his career!

I'm also thinking that maybe the new engine is really not reliable. Maybe only the "official" version is this with edge grip and so on...

For Dani a DNF with engine failuire would be fatal.

If the new engine is good :) to set it up takes also a lot of time.
