Just ignore them Casey, you don't need to do anything, just keep that throttle pineed and keep on winning inront of their golden boy Toseland. The brits are always the same whether its football, tennis, F1 etc etc they wont win and cant win.

Pathetic

Gee, it''s not that hard to understand. No British premier class champions in 20 years and their only runner falls off at the first corner, poor bugger. AND they lost the Ashes.

Casey is spot on. A large percentage (it is not a tiny minority) of British fans are so hateful of any rider that has the nerve to beat their hero Valentino Rossi. What is it with these / you guys. This booing of other riders only occurs in the UK. Shameful. Worse than football fans.

Totally agree with the above comment... if the fans were interested in racing, they would congratulate any winner... I appreciate that everyone has a favourite rider: or at least bias towards one, but the almost venemous attitudes towards Stoner / Rossi / Pedrosa / Lorenzo (depending on your allegiance) is p*ss poor... this pantomime bull**** makes my blood boil...

Not that simple - the person the fans cheered for most on Sunday was an Italian.

Rossi got more support than Toseland.

The Brits love Rossi and any rider up against him is going to suffer this sort of thing.

It's not on but what can you do?

wow! im no stoner fan but he won fair and square and should not be treated like that. im a rossi fan but not one of those idiotic ones and toseland was unlucky but he was probly trying too hard. at the end of the race i also did not like the fact all the fans went on the track.

Every country has its partisan supporters, but this is stupid yet almost unsurprising. This year's British GP certainly got more coverage than previous season's, so the crowd probably had a greater percentage of people there for the spectacle rather than the enthusiasm for the sport itself. If the only rider they know is Toseland and Rossi, it doesn't surprise me that Stoner got a frosty reception from some.

Doesn't excuse it though - it's another poor portrait of this country.

Firstly, it's wrong to lump all British fans or all Donington attendees together, or even a "majority" or "large percentage."

I agree that this kind of reception isn't good. It was a dominant, very fair, very well deserved victory.

But I think there's a reason for the negativity Stoner received. He's a bad loser. He's a whiner. He blames everyone except himself.

By no means is this a valid reason for what happened, but he's not liked by many for very valid reasons.
