It is very unfortunate for Stoner to receive such treatment from the crowd. He also deserves respect. But maybe the way Stoner treats and criticizes Rossi has something to do with the crowd''s behavior.
It is a thing to remember for Stoner not to treat any rider, especially the most famous and most-loved Rossi with unjust criticism. Maybe the crowd would be a little bit better next year if Stoner stops disrespecting THE DOCTOR.

Carl Fogerty was such a sensitive giving Brit at his peak, why if he thought you had made a mistake in a race he would come around to your pit after and offer advice about your riding and parentage or even do some knuckle surgery on your face.

Carl is very much respected for his racing achievements but as a personality is something of a laughing stock...who does that remind you of???

Nobody watched the sport back then and that was not for the better...You either have your big money sport or watch club racing...I have to say Pick and mix it's a fair point Casey has been abusing other riders since he started doing well(don't know about before..) and yet everybody is saying don't givr him stick, seems to me the lad has pleanty of fans and should put more work into recognising them ..

unfortunately it's true these days, fame brings you under the microscope. Doohan was also famously a right *******, and yet nobody gave him a hard time over it. How times have changed (for the worse IMO).

Yes, I remember, it was an exact revesal of what happened to Hamilton in Spain except in spain they blackened their faces to resemble his family.... This kind of stuff happens everywhere and while ugly, is the unpleasant side of any sport. You have to learn to deal with it. Casey has kicked out or gestured at several riders this season who are not doing as well as he is and at any level in any sport this would make a sportsman very unlikeble. Still trying to understand why the people who think it's wrong to boo Stoner defend his behavior and think it's alright for Stoner to abuse his fellow competitors...? answers on a post card please.
