Greg - the same argument could be used for rider skill, there's plenty of gp winners that can't ride that duke, which kinda blows the rider skill argument out the water to, and replaces it with flat out, balls in mouth and let the electronics do the work...you can't have it both ways.. :-o

No big surprise Ducati had the jump on yam and Honda after last year. Stands to reason their upgrades would push them ahead again. If it's true and Yam again have major upgrades coming then it might only be for a couple of races and we've seen what happens when the bikes have been more or less equal so I think it's a long way from over even with a bad mistake from Rossi.
Can't help thinking the recognition that the only way you can go faster these days is with electronics updates then it's no longer a sport(defined I think by human endevour) and is more about engineering excellence, like performance enhancing drugs, yes, your faster but it's no really you is it..

This is a great result for Stoner, with half the season gone, you can feel the pressure building around Yamaha and Honda garages. Feel sorry for Hayden and West, great result for Edwards, when that boys on it he's on it. JT seems to have gone off the boil a bit. Expected big things from him at assen. How did Bradley Smith fair I went to bed before the restart?

Posted by Sam: ''BUT HE BINNED IT AND DIDNT (no gear lever my ass).''

Sam, on TV (Eurosport) after the race, the camera zoomed in on Rossi's Yamaha M1, the gear lever WAS snapped off.

Hence Rossi's joke that he had to get 'Angry' with the gear lever in his interview with Randy.

Thank you.
