Nicky was lucky in 06? Do you Pedrosa/Rossi fanboys remember when pedrosa, Nickys OWN teammate punted/rammed him off the track the race before the final of the season?!? Was that good luck?

MOTOGP » Edwards, Hayden talk 'karma corner'

Nicky Hayden's engine 'quits' on run to the line at Assen, handing a podium finish to Colin Edwards - whom Hayden inherited victory from at the same place in 2006!

I retract what I said about colin cutting a big section, it wasn't that big, I watched it again. hayden hit a false neutral leading on the outside, I wish both would have entered the corner together then drag race win for colin, that would have looked so much better for both.

Comments from CE say it all for me, along with his comment about 'not wanting to get in the way of genuine contenders' (he said this only a few races into the season I think!). Few would doubt he has the ability, even as one of the older blokes in the paddock, but this shows lack of drive to consistently push towards the front. To be fair, it would be a waste not to give the Tech3 ride to someone who might show a lttle more ambition. Bit of a shame really cause it's always good to see the Ex WSB riders up there. Regarding Hayden, to suggest his win was a fluke in what was one of the more interesting seasons is total crap. In the end it's about the passion for the sport, not the individuals.

I just read a comment about showing respect to the riders and I suppose this has to do with Jimmy Mansi and me as well.I can talk only about my self though. I do respect the other riders.I have respect towards Pedrosa and Stoner who i think are very talented. As i menthioned i'm a fan of Rossi so i could easily bitch about them as they are the basic opponents for the championship.I'm not disrespectful i just don't think he's a great rider.Think that he won the championship and then these two last years the positions in all the races he has taken. He is seventh in the championship now with 100 points less from the first. For me this shows that he was lucky then and not unlucky now..

VeNoM-08, What are you saying? Colin had "the" ride of the race. He was LAST after Rossi lost it! You don't get THIRD just by luck. Colin ran a better race pace than Pedrosa and the lap times prove it. If Colin would have gotten past clean, he would have been closer to Stoner than anyone.

Pretty unfair on Hayden ,he rode a good race and should have been third, the engineers getting it wrong, and falling of becausse you panic and open the throttle too early are not the same thing. Hayden is not the greatest but how can it be karma, Colin fall last year was all his own fault... good race yesterday for colin but he was very lucky to get the podium, still I think he deserved one after come from nigh on last..shows how good the yam woulda shoulda coulda bin in Rossis hands..
