Yeah right, Melandri and Elias will really be ''spurred on'' by this news mr. Preziosi.
What they''re basically saying is: the bike is ok but you''re ****.
All very fine bigging mister Gibernau up but a race lasts longer than 4 or 5 laps.
And incidentally Marco Melandri was runner up as well in 2005 on the Movistar Honda.
Bloody politics, eh?

Gibernau is a good rider and his decent lap is evidence of this. However I doubt this will help spur on Melandri. I guess this is Ducati''s way of threatening the other riders that aren''t performing. But just because Gibernau can have a decent lap on the bike doesn''t mean that it isn''t built specifically for Stoner. Maybe it''s just that Gibernau understands the electronics on the Duc better than Melandri and company. Nevertheless, it would be great to see Gibbers racing again. But I only see top 10 at best for him.

Interesting points about internal Ducati politics. Does anybody know what the attitude is towards sharing data within Ducati? I just wonder if they have allowed Marco to have any access to Casey's data. They may have different riding styles but there must be something to gain from this. I got the impression from Loris's comments last year that Casey was not helpful, saying things like: It's just a motorcycle with 2 wheels.
Anyway, impressive times by Sete. As Morgue says, now he needs to show he can do it over race distance.

The thing is, Ducati have to do something!, only Stoner is getting results, that proves the bike can go quick, they need another rider who can ride it like Stoner. Melandri is a fast rider but just cant get to grips with the ducati

I've asked the same question Vincent! Don't know. I know that at some other teams each rider is effectively a separate entity and don't share info: HRC as an example. Seems like a really bad idea if that's the case. In the dreaded NASCAR many teams have 4 cars and they all share info, that's one of the benefits of having a team.

Yes Pam, Nicky & Dani definitely don't share whereas last year Vale & Colin did, as do JT & Colin this year. I suspect that Ducati may not do it. Various articles I have read suggest that internal politics within Ducati do not necessarily encourage co-operation between riders, and their attitude towards Marco this year suggests that it's down to him and his immediate team alone to sort out his difficulties with the GP8.
I also understand that it's unlikely that either Troy Bayliss or Loris Capirossi send Christmas cards to Livio Suppo!

... & if Dorna & Ducati can convince Rossi to lift his Hex in Sete, we should see some good racing!

Sete has his heart in the right place and is real gentleman, it would be good to see him back, it is also very important for Ducati that their number two gets up there and starts mixing it with VR and DP, CS needs someone to split the points up a bit as he is not going to walk it like last year. A couple of Ducati one-twos and it's a whole new ball game.
