********

just as was predicted, no live FPs, Warmups, 125 and 250 classes,
and just think what will happen to live MotoGP if it clashes with the almighty F1
snooze-a-thons

Not to mention the dull BBC commentary team

thanks Dorna, you have just put the first nail in the coffin of the motorcycle World Championships

Like many I feel sorry for Eurosport. They did a tremendous job for MotoGP and have shown great commitment to a fantastic sport. However, the deal with BBC is not only done, but extended and we must now live with the outcome.
We must also now hope Aunty shows equal commitment towards the quality of the commentary. Will we hear the Eurosport team together again at the BBC? We can only hope so. Go Aunty! Demonstrate to us long-time fans and to newcomers just how full-blooded your commitment to bike racing really is: bring us the best team in the business, i.e. Toby, Julian and Randy - that''s 3 people.
I hope the BBC will also broadcast the practice sessions...as they will, no doubt, for F1.

Only consolations are:

1. MOTOGP isn't worth watching anymore. (18 riders as Kawasaki can't be bothered to replace their first string also ran in Germany)
2. 2011 sees the introduction of the honda 600 micky mouse cup (more crass boredom)not worth the electricity the TV consumes.
3. The 125s which after 2011 will be the only race worth watching will be live on BBC I.
4. Eurosport still has WSB.
5. We won't have to listen to that idiot Toby Moody and his Selsey Wash hill climb memoirs.

I am only bothered if they loose Toby and crew, other than that I don't mind at all, I find I am watching more TV via the internet now so will be good to have the coverage on iplayer, they did a good job on there with the NW200.

ok, toby does maybe think ibiza is still cool, and should probably not talk about it, but hes a great commentater and knows alot of behind the scenes info too, as does the rest of the team on eurosport which the BBC just simply doesnt have, and wont ever have.

it is a truly s h i t moment for fans of the sport who cant go to the races themselves, cause thats what were going to have to do from now on if we want to get what weve been having

It's a done deal guys, what we should be doing now is hounding the beeb to get the the free practise and all the other qualifying and racing (125 and 250) on bbc3 and stuff instead of having to watch it on a bloody PC!

The fundamental issue is that F1 is also on the BBC and MotoGP will be de-prioritised or made interactive which means you cannot record it.

Matt Roberts is OK and I can just about put up with Steve Parrish. But WTF is Charlie Cox all about - he's an ex tin top racer and not a very good one either. Would the beeb have Alan Hansen commentating on rugby - I don't think so! So why have this useless tub of Aussie lard commentating on motogp? And purleeze don't get me going over Suzi (i'm so far up Vale's asre) Perry. She's not even decent eye candy now the face has got baggy - she should be commentating on "One man and his dog" but maybe the sheepdog wouldn't know which piece of mutton to round up! Rant over!!! :? :?

I just worry about F1 being on at the same time, you know who will take priority, especially with Lewis Hamilton getting all the attention he does not deserve!!!.

Such a dark day for all bike fans, and like mentioned above the idea of watching bike racing on my PC is not appealing.
