This is great news for team and rider, Edwards brings so much to the table, his relationship with Factory and with Michelin.
Michelin show Edwards ALL the love now, not like they did when he was testing tires for rossi where rossi would get the cream, but not no more: and beside what a better way to get-m back. So happy for him and besides all that, he can't leave yet… still gota get that WiN GO Colin

I am a big fan of colin, but i think his role is always going to be that of a supporting role for rossi. Like Nicky in the past, and i quote, "its not nice knowing that i'm never gonna beat my team mate". Hope Colin get get some good results, and maybe the odd win before he calls it a day though.

GOOD NEWS!! Yamaha has seen sense. If colin went they would have no experienced rider to help develop the yam/mich combo.
Good news for JT too, as colin must be one of the best team mates a rider could wish for.
Just hope he breaks his duck before he retires!!!!!!

I'm so pleased as i really like Edwards , his pre-race quotes etc are ace.
However , he will not win a MOTOGP race as long as he has a hole in his ass , coz Rossi , Stoner , Pedrosa , Lorenzo are all faster than him....it's a shame as i'd love to see him win a race as i reckon if he won one , he would go on and win another at some point too.

Yup... The 2002 Edwards-Bayliss last race showdown was a total classic, with passing maneuvers almost on every other corner, bikes moving all around, one of the best bike duels to have ever happened.

Agree with all the other posts. Great news to have such a popular rider stay another year. I want to be there when he gets his first win. It would be the most popular win ever.
