When the tough get going, Dani goes home!!!!

Sure Michelin are having a crap time of it at the moment, but it ain't going to get better by not having the supposed no'1 rider spitting his dummy out cos it's not going right, just who is supposed address Michelins issues then?

Whats up with todays GP rider are they men or just spolit bloody kids, first Stoner and now Pedrobot....if i were Honda, i'd suspend Pedrobot for two races give his bike to Nakano.

Go back 15 or 20 years i couldn't see Lawson, Schwantz, Rainey & co pissing about like this!

I am told that there was no general agreement of control tires at Brno, and that both the FIM and the factories are annoyed at Dorna, the commercial rights holders and nothing more, calling a meeting to discuss this kind of changes in the sacred name of "safety." If Dorna want a control tire they have the right to propose it as a "commercial" matter and they have the votes to get it passed, but Ezpeleta doesn´t want to rile the factory teams that chose the right tire. This sounds like Dorna trying to get the right tires for Dani and Repsol Honda. Last year Dorna could have pushed the single tire deal through, but finally Bridgestone agreed to supply Vale and Dani, but Honda said no.

A R - they could have tested numerous things on the bike. You don't have to be going at race pace to test the bike. The proof of this is the test riders times, none of them ever go anywhere near the race pace yet they are still being productive, are they not? They can test the durability/longetivity of the pneumatic engine for a race distance, can test new electronics, etc., etc. There are many things to test besides tires and besides trying to find a good setup for corner entry and what not that you mentioned.

What interests me about the single tyre proposal (which is reported as definitly going ahead next year after unanimous rider feedback) is that when Rossi and co were after a change to Bridgestone last year,Bridgestones boss said it wasn't a case of playing favourites to their partners who were already running the Japanese rubber,he said they simply didn't have the means and facilities to supply the whole grid, much might have changed from then to now but its by no means certain that Bridgestone will supply the tyres for next season. What sort of money will be thrown at Bridgestone and by whom to grease the wheels for their commitment to supply?

:)Michelin and Honda Only have themselves to Blame, With Dani light weight they decided to build a tyre with a softer sidewall, this started in 2006, This hasnt worked because Casey >Ducati>Bridgestone clicked < Rossi knew that michelin were not listening to him (only To Honda )so as far he was concerned it was bridgestone or NOTHING,this is same reason Nikki is doing nothing the tyres are not strong enough
to cope with his stlye of Riding , Dont forget IN Casey's first year in motogp he was on tyres that were nothing like the tyres that the top riders had .

Honda and Michelin and now paying for trying to manipulate for the last 3 years
Thanks Valentino & Casey :)

Reggie... But what's the point of testing something that doesn't work.

To test the bike and move forward in development you need a good/consitant base to start from.
You CAN'T do any testing with tyres that don't work... it's true he could have stayed on the bike and went around track but that's all he could have done.

When you do 'testing' you're working on corner entry, corner speed and corner exit. All of these need a tyre that work and is going to be more or less the same at the next race.

There's not much to be gained in cruising around and just pining it in a straight line!

I'm not a fan of Dani's but I do think they've done the right thing.

Tim Bo - i think the Hopper/Melandri combo could b very good indeed, as the Kwak does seem more like the Honda than the Duke which is more fickle.. i kinda think though after a few races the one up manship on each other may start too take affect.. kinda think that Melandri will beat hopper, but will be good too see.

doG - did Danni offend you in some way? your line of "he's NO champion" is a classic? 125 and 2 times 250 champ (first time round) how do you figure. In NO PLANET is nicky as talented a rider as danni!!! No way, the 990's suited him more i agree but then he had 3 whole years of full factory status on those and 2 on the 800's and has still won less races than danni fact!! :D

Pedrosa may or may not have had the clout to stop the test, but I'm guessing he had the clout to continue it if he had insisted. He is complicit. At the very least he did not have to say the things he said post pack-up. He looks childish and uncommitted: not the stuff of champions.

Prehaps Pedrosa knows that the Honda is very good and its the TYRES that are usless and thats why he called off the test.
