Don't you guys think it's Bridgestone that determines the amount of laps on a tire?

He was doing tire testing, which I would imagine would be at the discretion of the tire manufacturer.

Are we that insecure that we bash him for everything single thing he does? You guys are unbelievable. Replace Rossi with Stoner in this article and you guys would be creaming your shorts.

I guess it's too hard to congratulate someone and move on.

Well done Casey, but who''s that behind you? It''s great to see some fantastic times, but absolutely no good if you throw the bike down the road in race conditions. 50 points behind don''t forget Casey.

How can he be as fast on race as on quali's? Don't realy understand. But he was only dryving 4 lap stints, so maybe the tyre wasn't realy meant for more laps what coult explain the difference?

Read the article, Stoner claims that Qualifying is not his problem (as the list of poles suggest too), so he didn't push the qualifiers like you would in qualifying.

These tests don't indicate anything. Stoner is almost always VERY fast during these tests, but he's losing. Badly. He's now 50 points behind Rossi, who's shown himself to be at least as fast as Stoner when it counts and with no tire data. The next race is Misano so we can expect Rossi to be on form for that. I think Stoner's best chance for a come-back to the top of the podium is Indy, and by then it will be too late. However, as fans I think we will be treated to at least two more barnstormer races before the year is out. What a treat!

WE need to look at who was doing race simulation distances, 4 laps here and 5 laps there, don't mean ****, neither does qualifying times.

Try reading between the lines in qualifying, and look for who has been out the longest at the most consistant lap times, that is why Rossi has things stitched up, as he is generally the only rider consistantly running 15 laps at pace.

that's what I thaught...4 laps is nothing. If he can run 4 laps in a race at this tempo and then his tyres are worn, he won't make much benefit of it...
