Stoner and Stoner fans are afraid again. Remember when Stoner said: you always want what you can't have. Remember when Stoner fans said: Danny will be slower with Bridgestones. WISHFUL THINKING!

Rossi and Rossi fans say: bring it on. Bring on spec tires and competition. A true racer wants to race the best.

Cowardly Stoner and Cowardly Stoner fans say: Noooo. Only Stoner can have good tires, good traction control, good top end speed. Nooo.

It just shows that Stoner and his fans are fools who are living in fantasy land. Get real you foos. :D

What's your point exactly? Is going out with a WC a bad thing? I'm not sure what you're getting at.

And trust me, you're taking it out of context my friend...simply put me and the fam pick different riders to root for for a variety of reasons, rather than all rooting for the same person cause he is the champ or most popular, etc. If you read back why I suggested my daughter root for DP you might not be so inclined to think "I'll get what I deserve". Part of sport and life is the ups and downs, and so when we watch, sometimes I'm up, some times they are depending on the outcome. My point was we aaaaaaaall agree in our dislike of Stoner and as a parent I feel he is a bad example.

Alaywa:

And when 8 turns to 18, I'm sure she will be able to handle more of her "own decisions" but generally speaking at this stage their decisions are not all that advanced nor based on deeper criteria....so may I suggest and only suggest for yourself, seeing as your probably closer to 18 than 8, that you take a pill and calm down while watching a clip of Stoner riding to a Ducati assisted win from last season.

When your daughter turns 18 you will get what you deserve I guess, maybe she
will be going out with the motogp champion of the world.
Good luck anyway,

kind regards

Very well put boolbool. People tend to forget that even though it's one person racaing the machine, it is still a team sport. Rossi cannot do it alone, nor Stoner or Toseland. Consistancy throught the season is the key to winning, if it wasn't the championship would be decided with just one race.

i really don't see why Dani cant win a MotoGP championship.
he is fast, smart, smooth,he has a very fast bike and now tiers he believes are better(always good for your confidence).
yes he lacks in fighting spirit. but who says you need to fight every race to win???
Stoner showed how its done last year.
all Dani needs is to win 4/5 runaway races and be consistent the rest of the year let the others trade wins and be the last man smiling.
Hayden showed that if luck is on your side you can ever do it with only two.
and all respect to him he was the most consistent and got the most points that year.
in the lower classes there were riders who won championships without wining a single race.

I think when we say hate, we probably mean dislike, but hate is a quick to hand common expression often over-used. But I agree, no one wants to see the guy hurt, so when he slides out softly softly, it seems fair justice or "karma", and really that's what we are cheering for...restored justice. We all do it, we all pick our favs and only one can win, so by wishing victory for one, u wish a loss for another, just a fair loss. As fans we research and even chat on forums to assess who is worthy of our support, we don't just arbitrarily pick anyone. It suprises me the level of personal attacks and curses thrown around by some people however. Pedrosa is due for some justice I figure! PV+BS!

Not that I wish to get back on topic or anything but....Personally I think Dani will be a quicker straight away and it's not got a lot to do with the tyres. I think Dani may have got it into his head that he can't win with Michelin, whether he could or not, because he'd lost confidence in them. Clearly Lorenzo got them sorted on Sunday but Dani didn't seem to want to push them. Now he's got what he wanted, the confidence will be back to push harder on tyres he has faith in so I expect him back up the front again. That said, this exact reason is the same one that means I can't see him ever putting it all together over a season for a MotoGP title. Just my two cents...

alaywa.last year we also went to the test the day after the race in Misano.
we met Stoner and tried to get a word with him but he blow us off took his wife on the scooter and went back to his motor home.
after about an hour or so we saw him coming with his wife to the Ducati hospitality area where he blow of some more fans.(some of them were young kids)
since then my wife really HATES him and thinks he is a Ahole.
when he crashed on Sunday she was cheering with joy not because it gave Rossi the lead but cos she really dose not like his behavior. and that's from a woman who really doesn't know anything else about him.
me i don't really hate anyone on the grid i think they are all great.

On the plus side for Stoner...he does have his wife with him all the time, and she is always keen to hand back his ring and make sure he puts it on, and to be a young man like that on top of the world and stay loyal to your woman, when you could theoretically be a playboy about it, it admirable. So...I'm not aalllllll "Stoner hater".

boolbool seems to understand...we (the fam) all get into the racing, and it's not just racing its "battling" and whether you see it or not there are "good guys" and "bad guys" to root for, reasons we pick our heros, and role models and to a lesser extent just the rider on the day to support. Good characters irrespective of speed deserve support. If you watch the documentary Torndado, Doctor and the Kentucky Kid you will see Haydon admit he doesn't want to be the paddock playboy, which is a problem I used to have with him back in his AMA days. At least now as a family, we can support him without passing on bad values accidently. As I said, Stoner fits the "vallain" role quite well ATM.

wolfpac...
i really like the way you made MotoGp a family thing as that is another thing the family can relate to and spend quality time together.
last year my wife surprised me with two Yamaha grandstand tickets to the Misano race.
she even told me that she loves me so much she is willing to come and spend all day with me even that she cant relate at all to MotoGP.
after spending a great day out on the way home she told me that we have to do it again.
since then we make it a habit to watch the races together and to go to as many races a year as possible.
