West is a good rider, and is always good in the rain. That says a lot about his riding skills. You can not doubt a rider when he's fast in the rain.
Rain levels the participating machinery. Sure you can attribute a lot to just simply having the guts to go fast in the wet, but guts isn't enough to stay upright on the bike and not crashing. You simply cannot defy luck in a wet session every time and not crash.
That bike is simply rubbish, and will never get a decent result under normal circumstances. The lead rider, Hopper in this case, should give everything to get their facts straight to develop a winning bike. Nakano was close to developing a decent bike a while ago.

To see Westy at the top of BOTH sessions is the most mostive thing to come out of the Kawasaki garage this ye**** Great news!! Kawasaki have been blaming the riders instead of looking at the bike ever since Pitty and McCoy got shafted way back in 2003. Wherever you happen to be riding next year Westy give it your best as usual!!

Mr Bartholomew should be the one to go not Westy. How come no one is blaming Bartholomew? If a business fails then heads roll at the top. What a joke. Give them hell Westy.

It seems a little harsh that Westy has to take the hit for Kawasaki, John Hopkins hasn't set the world on fire since his move. Thus the common link is the bike!

Translation:

Indy in the rain is way too dangerous and West has nothing to lose.

lets not get carried away here... Westy has always been good in absolute soaking conditions and this is no differance. In donny this year he was 3 or 4th in the wet, ditto mugello this year etc etc. one good day out of 13 rounds does not a comeback make.. look at marco he has had at least 2 or even 3 top tens (those at the back saying thanks michelin.. now now  )but everyone still knows he does not deserve to be in that factory team. West is a great guy, and MotoGP has bee good sometimes with him but he would be better in SBK's. You can't base a carrer in gp's on wet weather riding.. ok except vermeulen!! :)

Good analysis Jules W. Westy is an excellent rider on sub-par equipment. Hope he does well this weekend, and the result serves as a giant kick in the nuts for Bart.
