Tyke, I am a Stoner fan, but that doesn't stop me wanting to see Hayden kick some next year.

I want to see Nicky challenge for the championship on the Ducati with RACE WINS- to erase the taint that his '06 championship was the result of pointscoring, not performance.

I want to see Nicky beat Pedrosa & rub his little nose in it.

But most of all I want to see Nicky humiliate the Repsol/Honda/Michelin team.

Those w*^kers have destroyed GP racing from "special" tyres for Doohan to maintain his dominance, to pushing out Nastro Azzuro & Movistar as big time sponsors, to Honda manipulating the tech regs (990's & 800, killing off 250's) to their advantage.

Go Nicky, rub their noses in it!

Here''s to next year Nicky!
There are few races coming up that he''s always been good at, so let''s hope Michelin can get it together and give Hayden a couple more podium finish in his last few races with Honda. For all his loyalty he gave them through his years, Honda lost a good one! But I guess it was the bike development that dictates a lot of the rider''s placement. Dani is more of an ideal rider for the Honda, and if Dani can win races with it, of course Honda will support him. But they burnt their bridges with Nicky, for sure. It''s going to be funny thinking of Nicky as anything other than a Honda man.

Let''s hope that Ducati is a beast again next year!

gotta love Nicky, what a trouper... That is as close to slagging off a team at the top of his voice as he has ever done, but done in that very subtle loveable drawl... Good luck for next year. ANYBODY that isn't a Casey Stoner fan is gonna be rooting for ya!

This whole affair has opened up an interesting insight into the undercurrents in motoGP, and perhaps explains why Pedrosa has been such a sourpuss - obviously treated as the King of the heap by Honda and Puig and being miffed that Rossi, Stoner and Lorenzo wouldn't just let him win. Hayden's respect for Stoner and Stoner's understanding of what it is like to try to win with second-class equipment in his LCR days suggests a happy pit box at Ducati next year. If Hayden can teach Stoner to chill a bit and they ride as a team effort it could be a real championship fight between the Yam and Duc teams in 2009 - roll on...

Why on earth wouldn't the Stoner fans be "rooting" for him ? I hope Nicky goes well next season, if Ducati had had a rider coming in in the top 5 it would have helped Stoner no end - both in terms of development of the bike, and in splitting the points to keep Pedrosa and Lorenzo at bay. Sure there's a chance that Stoner and Hayden could become a Gardner and Doohan combo where Gardner only had the one and his team mate came in later and swept up the rest.I don't think that's likely though - Stoner and Hayden have similar skills and riding styles, and should be able to leverage both into contention

Haydens just a good lad on one of the best bikes. He has only got the ride because Ducatis want to do better selling bikes in the US. Nothing will change, it wont matter what bike he is on he's gonna get f----.

Gary Bullock - you're an idiot and Nicky is a World Champion

Good for Nicky!

You guys should check out speedtv.com. They have an article that says this will be Haydens final GP with Honda. In the article Nicky gives a little more insight into how Honda screwed him and how he couldn't even get the same forks as Pedrobot in Misano.

I can't for the life of me understand why has Honda run both Rossi and Hayden off. Is this how you treat World Champions in their prime? I think not.

@tyke, I guess I am a Casey fan, but I'll definitely be happy to see Nicky grab some podiums next year, as I would like to see anyone that isn't winning much start to go well. Like everyone says, Nicky is a great guy, really passionate about the sport and has an awesome way of sliding the bike that makes it so much more entertaining to watch a race. It would just be another nail in the coffin of MotoGP if was just a whole field of riders going round on bikes that handle the same and are ridden the same.

It would be so awesome to see the two duc's go 1-2 next year, in any order.

Go Nicky!

I'm looking forward to see Nikcy's win at Indianapolis to show his potential! :)
I think Bridgestone is not as advantageous as Pedrosa's expectation, seeing Lorenzo took 2nd (close to Lossi) at San Marino. At least, Nikcy will win two races a year, at Lagna and Indy on his soil. I wish NICE GUY stays Moto GP next year and gets constant results like 2006.
