I think this is a VERY smart move as the 600 four strokes will be in MotoGP in 2010 and WSS could be an excellent feeder series for this new format.

Good choice, better to be a font runner at WSS than a midfielder in 250's.
He was on a roll at Vallelunga, very entertaining ride though It's a pity he got together with Pitt,
not sure who hit who actually but anyway, Laverty kept it upright.
Good luck to him, always great to see Northen Irishmen race :)

Yeah! What is with Jack's "You-jzane"? Terry Rymer got it right.
Good to see he has got away from that crap 250 team and has finally proven
himself at World level. (albeit in one race, but it's a start)

Goan yersel wee man! :)

It was only a matter of time before he could have been seriously injured overiding a 10 year old bike trying to keep up with todays equipment. Best of luck to him.

Great race,What a good finish.
It wasn't the best response from his garage to the crash, but when the guy sat down on the chair flicked the middle finger gave me the best laugh in ages

Good move.

That old RSV was never going to get anywhere fast.

He results this weekend has proved what we all knew, he is super fast.

Good luck for the rest of the year, and for next year.

Our commentator made an interesting analogy with Anthony West switching to WSS and instantly winning races,
proving that it is quite a 'fluent' switch between the two types of machines, allthough the regulars in the World Champions on 250 twostrokes probably have it much tougher and come well prepared.
I will be curious to see what 'crossovers' there will be between WSS and the new 600 class that replaces 250's in 2011

Was it Dennis Noyes who used to mispronounce Goddards at Donington as Go-dards and Fogarty as Foe-garty

morgue- i was thinking the same thing, however the 990's and the road 1000's were quite different from each other...

I wonder if the R6 had the right riders over the last years, seeing that West and Laverty seemed to adopt to it fairly easily...
